Abstract
This research paper presents the design and implementation of "Prasadam," a centralized web-based portal aimed at mitigating the critical issue of food wastage in urban environments. While a significant percentage of food produced is wasted daily by sources such as restaurants, hotels, and social events, a large portion of the population continues to struggle with hunger. The primary challenge in addressing this paradox is the lack of a coordinated, transparent system to connect food donors with charitable organizations in a timely manner. Prasadam addresses these logistical inefficiencies by establishing a reliable digital bridge between verified Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and food donors. The system is engineered using a Flask (Python) backend to ensure a lightweight and scalable server architecture, integrated with Google Firebase to facilitate real-time data synchronization. This technical stack enables the platform to provide instantaneous notifications to NGOs located in the vicinity of a donation listing, thereby preventing food spoilage due to communication delays.

Food waste is a problem that affects everyone. People are impacted anywhere it is present, including in our homes, schools, restaurants, grocery stores, places of business, and even in transportation. With the help of this software, hotels can give leftover food to those in need while reducing food waste. With the help of this software, users may sign up, log in, see, add, and remove products from their carts, and then log out of the system. Additionally, this software contained a real-time database. Through this app, food donors may enter information about their donations, and NGO volunteers can see the photographs of the food that each donor has contributed. Food waste is a widespread issue in our culture. Management of food waste is essential since it may increase our sustainability both economically and environmentally. We have determined how mobile technology may be used to minimize food waste management, and we have developed an android mobile application that enables restaurants or individual users to share and donate their leftover food with those in need. We intended to complete this project in order to use an Android application to lessen food waste. The visitor may log in and input the kind, quantity, and location of food that is offered in this project. The agent is then sent a brief notice. The agent at that location may log in and get the donor's data after receiving the notice. The software allows the donor to create an account, and he may log in to add the location and food data anytime there is food waste. The agent is also capable of retrieving the data and holding an account. Once the information has been retrieved, the agent may go get food from the donor and provide it to the orphans or other needy people. Food redistribution is an incredibly effective social innovation initiative that addresses food poverty and waste. Because it has a distinct account for every user, the user's information is kept private.
This project attempts to create an online platform for food donations, such that food donors, and food receivers are able to establish communication and arrange food donations. The target food donors are mainly wholesalers, supermarkets, or directly from the manufacturers, which donates food waste to charitable organizations that redistribute the donated foods to people in need. By using food waste, it is possible to not only reduce the number of starving people, but it would also be a sustainable solution, that would be beneficial to the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emission. Furthermore, a reduction in food waste might also be favorable to the economy of each country. The proposed solution works like a marketplace on a website, where both donors and receivers are granted access. The system has been tested on a homogeneous user group that found the system's usability to be good, while the usefulness of the system is inconclusive.

Hungers in the world are burning issue now-adays and wastage of food is increasing day by day. Surplus Food for Orphanage (SFO) is an online food management system that manages extra food for starving people who have not enough food to remain alive. The aim of the research is to develop a web-based portal named “Surplus Food for Orphanage” which makes a communication between donor and food seeker. This paper represents a new internet-based website that will be helpful for donating old stuff and extra food to all needy people. In this website the donor can register his/her account. When registration becomes successful, donor can access this website by log in to their account. Donor will publish their post by enrolling their food item’s name, quantity of food that donor want to donate, their contact number and location also. A simple notification is given to the admin. Charity can view the donor/restaurant post by logging in to this website. Then charity can contact to the food donor ...
Smartphones are increasingly integrated with everyday uses. It utilize for various activities like e-commerce, social media, a messaging, a chart and map location application. A problem of waste food becomes a critical issue and it affect the social and environmental problem. Every time food is wastage the other sources water, energy, time, manpower, land, fertilizer, packagin g and mainly money is also wasted. Food waste is big problem in India and it directly affect to the financial benefits. When huge quantity of food goes wasted instead of hungry mouths, it ends up in landfill means ultimately contributing to global warming by releasing methane gas. According to survey 40 percent of food is wasted from hotels and restaurant, marriage fun ction, family function and household estimated that millions of rupees food is wasted every year in a country. Yet millions of people are h ungry and in need of nourishment to overcome this problem we are proposing to new idea to facilitates the exchange in web based services here charity can easily find, secure and then deliver food to those who need it. This project is used to manage wastage foods in a useful way. Every day the people are wasting lots of foods. So we have to reduce that food wastage problem through online. If anyone has wastage foods they are entering their food quantity details and their address in that application and then the admin maintain the details of food donator. The donator can create the account and whenever they are having wastage food they can login and give request to the admin. And the admin also maintain the buyer (orphanage, poor people,..) details too. After the admin view the donator request and give the alert message like time to come and collect the food. And the admin collect foods from donator through their nearby agent then provide to nearest orphanages or poor people. After receiving the food from the agent by admin and give alert message to that donator. If the donator needs any detail about the orphanage with helping thought they can give request to the admin and collect the orphanage details. This project is food redistribution is an enormously successful social innovation that tackles food waste and food poverty. The user’s details are maintained confidential because it maintains a separate account for each user.
A trusted and active community aided and supported by the Internet of Things (IoT) is a key factor in food waste reduction and management. This paper proposes an IoT based context aware framework which can capture real-time dynamic requirements of both vendors and consumers and perform real-time match-making based on captured data. We describe our proposed reference framework and the notion of smart food sharing containers as enabling technology in our framework. A prototype system demonstrates the feasibility of a proposed approach using a smart container with embedded sensors.

In this era of technology development, everything requires supervising and controlling. Our project proposes an IoT framework for facilitating food monitoring for redistribution of the food, so that it would help the people in need. In present scenario, the work is done manually but automated alternatives are not present. The proposed solution analyses temperature, moisture as these factors affect durability of food items and makes the analysis results accessible to the user via a web page. A web server is used for storage of data values in real time. User is alerted with location of the smart box whenever an emergency for food occurs. In this solution, sensors for various domains are employed for sensing the condition of food. The data values along with the images that is captured are displayed in the web page so that the data can easily be used for further analysis and the user could be notified if a change in parameters values above a threshold is observed.
