I believe that because text is able to describe any situation, and, via narrativity, any point of view, then a pure text bot can have embodied capacities like emotions. This work is an extension of the author's Flinders University Honours thesis, which was awarded in 2012. The GOLEM (Goal Oriented Linguistic Emulation of Mind) model is a development of the abstract state machine concepts outlined in this thesis. The GOLEM design contains data structures and computational processes which claim to be isomorphic to emotionality and perception in animals and humans.
