I heard of this application from a comment thread on Facebook. I downloaded not really knowing what to expect , but wanted to be helpful. I just had my very first call. This is such a wonderful and helpful community! I was able to help a gentleman with a project he was working on and he in turn gave me wonderful information to help me in my own life, I will certainly be telling anybody who will listen about this wonderful application and hope to help many more people.
As a sighted volunteer, I appreciate the thoughtful design that has gone into this app that allows me to assist blind or vision-impaired users! It's easy to communicate, and I can even turn on the flashlight of the other user's phone so I can better assist them. The app's unique ringtone makes it easy to identify, so I can respond quickly. And after each call, it's easy to provide feedback, so the app experience can keep improving.
i love this app and am very glad that I've been able to answer some phone calls to help a few people out. i have a couple issues, one is that you can't set the ringtone or volume for the calls from the app. the notification for a phone call is not very loud, so it would be nice to have settings for that.im updating my review to add that it would be cool to display statistics on how many calls and time youve taken over the time being a volunteer on the app.
Yesterday, I came across an Instagram reel about this app and decided to download it. Today, I got my first call from an older gentleman asking me to read the label of his frozen meat so he could make lunch. After confirming that he grabbed the correct type of meat, we chatted for a little bit about where we are from. He was such a nice guy and I hope he enjoys his lunch!
They were working out and needed help reading the details of their workout so far. I read to them their kilometers, calories, time and incline. It was a quick call and they said thank you and we hung up. It felt REALLY good knowing I was able to help. I would gladly help someone again. I really didn’t know what to expect but glad i was able to help.
My sister has had this Application for 5 years and recently got her first call. She said that it made the users day, as well as hers. I’m excited to help. Hopefully I won’t have to wait 5 years for a call! However, I’m glad there are so many people around the world who pulling to help as well. If I can help make someone’s day, I’ll be more than happy to help!
