SpaceX claims Amazon Leo launches could crash into Starlink satellites

If we are already at a point where there is squabbling about who gets to use what orbit (this orbit's not big enough for the both of us) then how does anyone expect a million satellites to work out?

SpaceX claims Amazon Leo launches could crash into Starlink satellites

Sounds a bit like 2 cars both changing lanes at the same time. Both claiming they had signaled.

Launch day has arrived for NASA’s Artemis II mission—here’s what to expect

Ive known how to convert Fahrenheit to centigrade and back again since I was a freshman in HS. And when I forget the formula I can figure it out from basics. Doesnt bother me at all. Thats really all that matters.

Costco sued for seeking refunds on tariffs customers paid

I suspect that it is premature to assume the US will refund any tariffs.

NASA is leading the way to the Moon, but the military won’t be far behind

IIUC it is not a binding treaty. It is an agreement. The difference is if someone breaks the treaty the only consequence is that other nations will begin to do so.

NASA is leading the way to the Moon, but the military won’t be far behind

Here we fight little nations that dont have the power to fight back in any meaningful way. Or at least, not powerful enough to hurt our homeland. Haiti, Venezuela, vietnam, etc. But they dont have anything in space worth fighting for. We are NOT going to war with China. Not here, not there.

We actually did cooperate with Russia to build the ISS.

NASA is leading the way to the Moon, but the military won’t be far behind

I dont see as being likely. There may ultimately be resources worth competing for but if a war is begun in space it will end here on Earth. No way either side would stand still with an attack in space without retaliation here on Earth.

NASA is leading the way to the Moon, but the military won’t be far behind

I dont see how it is "each of them are ruining space collaboration". China is willing to cooperate but the US has made it illegal.

Costco sued for seeking refunds on tariffs customers paid

Ahh but now he is making new tariffs based on a new interpretation of law. He can come up with new interpretations faster than courts can strike them down.

Costco sued for seeking refunds on tariffs customers paid

I shop at costco and never thought they had the lowest prices. I did the math on toilet paper and price per square was pretty much even with the local grocery store. They do have better than average fruits, and some items you dont find elsewhere. And of course, the samples.

Costco sued for seeking refunds on tariffs customers paid

What is the proposed lawsuit seeking? Do they intend to ask Costco to refund individual consumers for every purchase that had added tariff costs? I dont think thats a tenable solution and I dont think a court will either. Maybe ask that Costco distribute the federal tariff refund to every...

Water utility announces it’s ditching fluoride—then reveals it did so years ago

Bottled water is typically filtered more than tap water. Tap is fine, but bottled is generally NOT just tap water in bottles. Thats propaganda by people that believe we shouldnt use so much plastic. They may have a point about use of plastic but it doesnt help their case to make up stories...

Water utility announces it’s ditching fluoride—then reveals it did so years ago

Arent utilities regulated? And I would guess they werent putting fluoride in out of the goodness of their hearts but were being subsidized for that. Removing something that you were being paid to add is fraud.

Polygraphs have major flaws. Are there better options?

Seems like human nature to get anxious at a question like "would you leak national secrets". Even an innocent person would feel uncomfortable being asked sensitive questions.
