Upmarket looks, mass-market price: The 2027 Kia Telluride, driven

Two of the models do have 20-inch wheels, and looks like 3 have 21-inch wheels.

Trump’s DOJ is not falling for Sam Bankman-Fried’s MAGA makeover on X

Well, unfortunately that doesn't change the sad fact that is if WAS a "Republican" and large donor to republicans prior to his conviction by the Biden administration that he would have most likely received a pardon.

Meta could end up owning 10% of AMD in new chip deal

I don't think average people need to pay for it. They will use it to monetize their only product further. The product is people's personal information for sale. It's worth an awful lot to many companies, and politicians. Well, two products...They'll offer AI generated ads to their business...

Before psychosis, ChatGPT told man “he was an oracle,” new lawsuit alleges

I know, right? It's just like those exploding airbags. Think of the poor executives who lost their bonuses when they had to do the recalls.

Trump admin is “destroying medical research,” Senate report finds

Well, now that you used the term "minority", this is officially labeled as woke and all funding will be canceled.

what did you learn today? (part 2)

I suppose that could be true. I suppose it could also be true that Fortinet is saying that to downplay some issues. To me it is not the number of CVEs, but whether or not there are vulnerabilities in the wild actively affecting customers, and this is unfortunately where Fortinet has been the...

what did you learn today? (part 2)

I'm not sure what that means. Palo Alto finds vulnerabilities internally and patches them as well. Any complex software will have vulnerabilities, no matter the vendor. It just seems like Fortinet has been on a pretty bad streak the past couple of years which raises concerns about their code...

what did you learn today? (part 2)

I feel different. The number of critical CVEs that Fortinet has on a product designed to be a firewall is staggering to me.

Apple says its new AI-powered Siri will use Google’s Gemini language models

It's been that way for decades anyway. Google pays Apple $20 billion to have Google the default search engine in Safari.

SPEED Act passes in House despite changes that threaten clean power projects

It's a shame that everything done by this administration is about nothing more than making more money for them and their friends. Whoever pays more and provides a gold statue gets their way. It's not about what is right for the people or the country. It's about enriching those at the top even...

How do AI coding agents work? We look under the hood.

Lets just be clear here - You have to do the same things with humans to get them to do what you want also. You can't be vague otherwise you will get something that sort of, kind of, is what you asked, but not really. Also, if you ask 10 humans to do something, you will get 10 different things...

The Chevrolet Equinox EV is high on comfort and convenience

Where in the app? I looked all over. including under Profile > Data & Privacy. It sure tells you a whole lot about what they do, but I certainly do not see an easy way to opt out.

what did you learn today? (part 2)

AKA App Control for Business. We did have some issues with trying to move to this from Applocker. I don't remember all the details as it isn't my area of specialty, but it had something to do with how elevation of permissions works when the helpdesk needed to help a user install software.

Florida schools plan to vastly expand use of AI that mistook clarinet for gun

Maybe school districts could pay teachers a living wage or hire more teachers to teach students if they weren't spending (checks article) $15 million on AI cameras.

    Smart Home Automation

I really like Shelly devices. The Gen4 have Matter support, so makes it really easy to use with HomeKit. Inexpensive, and seem to work well.

ARC Raiders - PvEvP Extraction - Listen, Loot, Shoot, and Scoot

I hope they address this in the future and make the quests more meaningful. Feels like they thought they needed to come up with a way to keep people interested in playing, but didn't flesh it out enough before launch.

ARC Raiders - PvEvP Extraction - Listen, Loot, Shoot, and Scoot

The missions aren't even that important, unfortunately. I did complete this one, but I stopped doing them as it felt like a waste of time and gear for little reward.

Oracle hit hard in Wall Street’s tech sell-off over its huge AI bet

That really won't be good for people's 401k and other retirement vehicles when/if it occurs, particularly those with a shorter horizon. A huge chunk of the S&P 500 is made up of these "hyperscalers" and companies in the AI space.

That is not the contrary. That is literally what I said - Game platforms have been long-lasting things. Maybe you meant to respond to the person I quoted.

After years of saying no, Tesla reportedly adding Apple CarPlay to its cars

I understand that, but that was 15 years ago at this point and caused by the largest recession in our lifetimes. Toyota also requested loans from the Japanese government. GM has the largest marketshare in the US, so it's not like they never recovered. The person I quoted was discussing things...
