Info

WELCOME TO SKIING Atomic was born in the Austrian Alps in 1955. Founder Alois Rohrmoser handcarved race skis that would give an edge to the most successful athletes of that era. The brand’s modern-day headquarters are still located in the Pongau Valley, just five kilometers from Rohrmoser’s original workshop. This history and heritage continue to be the foundation of Atomic’s identity, from the early days of handmade wooden skis to the skis that grace the tops of World Cup podiums and remote peaks around the world today. SKIED AROUND THE WORLD The manufacturer designs and produces skis used by some of the top skiers in the world across every discipline. From World-Cup racing to the X-Games, Nordic to Ski-mountaineering to the most demanding backcountry-skiing objectives, skiers like Mikaela Shiffrin, Hermann Maier, and Chris Bentchetler have all trusted their careers to Atomic. In turn, these and many other elite skiers provide feedback from the highest levels of competition and performance to help guide R&D and innovation at Atomic, thereby shaping and guiding the focus of the brand. WE ARE SKIING Today Atomic employs around 1000 people at their Pongau Valley headquarters. Here, they produce over 400,000 pairs of skis each year. For more than 65 years the brand has been synonymous with skiing, and each member of the Atomic family continues to contribute to that identity. From R&D to marketing professionals, to pro athletes and the craftsmen who leave the finishing touches on each product, each person lives and breathes the sport of skiing. Atomic is a company founded by a skier, and continues to be a brand for skiers, by skiers.

In May, we celebrated the completion of Passion To Lead – our global leadership development program. 🚀 Over two years, around 16 participants from 8 different nations came together, representing Atomic and Global Operations. Different backgrounds, roles and cultures – united by a shared ambition to grow as leaders and as people. Passion To Lead is designed to support high‑potential managers in developing their leadership capabilities while staying true to who they are. Across six camps at various Amer Sports locations in Europe, participants built strong, trust‑based connections, learned from one another and gained valuable insights into our business, markets and teams. What made this journey especially powerful was the close collaboration between Brands and Global Operations, the openness to diverse perspectives, and the inspiration gained through special internal and external guests. Together, we challenged ourselves, supported each other and continuously aimed to raise the bar. We are proud of the dedication, integrity and drive shown by everyone involved – and excited to see how the learnings and connections from this journey will shape the future of Atomic. 🎉 Celebrating all participants: Mario Baier, Etienne DESTHIEUX, David Drösser, Marco Ender, Tina Hofinger, Justine Le Pocreau, Alberto Montiel Rey, Clemens Nagiller, Daniel Rietzler, Anastasiya Rudyachenko, Kaja Ślizowska, Ewelina S., Luis Tarabochia, Romain Trubert, Jasper Verberne, Noah Wallace A big thank you to Wilhelm Ingo Kerl, Wolfgang Mayrhofer, Michael Schineis, Hannelore Kramser-Saringer, Eva-Maria Weiss and everyone who contributed to making this program such a success. 🙏 #PassionToLead #BetterTogether

Running with purpose – for those who can’t. 🏃♀️ This year’s Wings for Life World Run once again brought the Atomic community together. Colleagues laced up their shoes in many different ways – sometimes alone, sometimes with family and friends – all connected by the same purpose. It’s not about how far or how fast you go – what truly counts is showing up and being part of something bigger. Whether at official event locations, on home routes or even during holidays, our teams found their own ways to take part and turn movement into meaningful impact. Proud of everyone who joined in and helped make this day matter in their own way. 🙌 #WingsForLifeWorldRun #AtomiCare

Better together - on and off the slopes ⛷️ We spent an amazing day together at our employee ski day last week – with more than 200 participants joining! Despite true winter conditions with fresh snowfall and chilly temperatures, the motivation was high and the slopes were in perfect shape for some unforgettable powder runs. A highlight of the day was the opportunity to test a wide range of our skis – bringing our “Test the Best” mindset to life and creating a strong connection between our products, our brand and the everyday experience of our employees. Thanks to everyone who joined – already looking forward to creating more moments like this together. 📸: DIEGO SANTOS BUCETA #weareskiing

Developing future talent – Award for apprenticeship training A big thank you to our mentors and apprentices! Thanks to their dedication, Atomic has been named an ‘Excellent Salzburg Apprenticeship Company’ by the WKS and the State of Salzburg. This recognition serves as a great motivation as we continue to develop our apprenticeship programs and invest in the future of our youth. At Atomic, apprenticeship means more than learning a profession — it means growing step by step, supported by experienced mentors, modern training structures and a strong team spirit. During the evaluation, our hands-on learning approach and our Future Lab, where apprentices work with modern technologies and gain practical experience, were especially honored. A big thank you to everyone who contributes to making our apprenticeship program such an important part of Atomic’s future. #weareskiing

🏔️ A milestone for Atomic’s headquarters in Altenmarkt This week, Atomic and Amer Sports officially opened a new office building at our headquarters in Altenmarkt, Austria. The celebration brought together representatives from regional government, global leadership, and the winter sports community to mark an important step in the continued development of our home base in the Salzburger Alps. The new two-story facility expands the site and now hosts teams from Atomic as well as Amer Sports Global Operations, Supply Chain, and Human Resources. With space for key international functions alongside regional teams, the building strengthens collaboration across development, marketing, and operations. For Atomic, Altenmarkt has always been more than a workplace – it is the place where our skis are developed and produced, and where our connection to the mountains and the sport continues to shape what we do. With this investment, Atomic and Amer Sports reaffirm their long-term commitment to the region and to Altenmarkt as a global hub for winter sports innovation. Thank you for the kind words Landeshauptfrau Karoline Edtstadler, Wolfgang Mayrhofer, Wilhelm Ingo Kerl, Hannelore Kramser-Saringer, Michael Walchhofer, Hermann Maier, Marco Schwarz.

What does it take to become a responsible ski brand? Measurable progress. Transparent reporting. And a willingness to rethink how things are made, powered, and used — even when the answers aren’t simple. That’s the approach Atomic is taking. And it is documented in our latest Impact Statement 2025. It’s the third report of its kind and outlines where we’ve advanced — and where we still have work to do. ✅ A 90% reduction in Scope 2 emissions at our Bulgarian site by switching to renewable electricity. ✅ Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) completed across all product lines to understand and reduce material impact. ✅ Industry collaboration through the Ski Industry Climate Summit and support for Protect Our Winters Europe. This isn’t a finished story — but a look inside the numbers, decisions, and dilemmas behind a ski brand’s evolving path toward responsibility. 📄 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ddbsuU28 What questions should brands be asking themselves in 2026?

AtomiCare - Because Atomic Cares Our passion for the mountains doesn't stop when we clock out. We know that "trusting your line" requires more than just skill — it requires preparation and deep respect for the elements. That’s why we officially kicked off our AtomiCare Program 2026 with our essential Avalanche Safety Course. We had the privilege of learning directly from the experts of the local Mountain Rescue Service, who guided us through hands-on search exercises and crucial terrain an weather analysis. The AtomiCare season is just warming up! We’re keeping the momentum high with a packed calendar, including: Nordic training, the legendary Employee Ski Day, exclusive ski tests in Filzmoos to push our gear to the limit & much more! #AtomiCare #weareskiing

From local charity to international NGO partnerships 🤝 At Atomic, giving back takes many forms. Over the past season, we’ve supported different initiatives that reflect our responsibility beyond product and performance. Through the Ö3 Weihnachtswunder, we contributed to families in need via the ORF Licht ins Dunkel foundation. With our She Skis event in Obertauern, the community came together on snow to raise funds for cancer aid. And on a broader scale, our ongoing engagement with Protect Our Winters Europe reflects our long-term commitment to climate action and the future of winter sports. These initiatives differ in scope and reach, but they share a common belief: meaningful impact starts with care, collaboration, and consistency — locally and globally.
