Powering Positive Energy. Everyone, everywhere, everytime.

About us

The driving force behind EVX Australia is composed of experts in their respective fields. They include senior managers and engineers from the telecommunications and automotive industries who have delivered public infrastructure and major projects in Australia and abroad. Our founders Sean McGinty and Kevin Mooney are electricians by trade, and have been in the electricity supply industry for 30 years, supplying electricity infrastructure for major developers and projects. Recognising the lack of infrastructure for EV users without access to adequate home charging, Sean and Kevin took this challenge head-on. EVX’s mission is to deliver scalable and robust public charging infrastructure, for everyone that needs it. The EVX charge network will be affordable, user focussed and designed to meet the needs of EV users living in urban areas and those traveling to regional Australia. EVX has a particular focus on assisting local government and private enterprise deliver the infrastructure their constituents and customers will expect now and in the future.

Updates

  • We build our network based on where it's needed most, and here's the data driven process behind that. Heat maps show us where demand is highest. Utilisation data tells us which locations are working and which aren't. Community feedback fills in the gaps. Parks, businesses, high traffic zones and every charger we install is backed by data, not guesswork. This is what a strategically built EV network actually looks like. ⚡📊

  • The price at the petrol pump gets the headlines. The more significant shift is happening underneath. Australia's dependence on imported liquid fuels is a structural vulnerability, not just a cost-of-living inconvenience. Every fluctuation in global oil markets flows directly to Australian households and businesses. Electric vehicles charged on renewable energy break that dependency. And the infrastructure that makes everyday charging possible, on the streets where people already park, is what makes switching a real option for the majority of drivers, not just those with a home charger. The fuel crisis is accelerating a shift that was already happening. We are building the infrastructure to meet it. 👉 Request a charger in your street: https://lnkd.in/g5yRZGMc

  • A seamless EV charger installation experience isn't something we stumble into, it's something we design for. Easy pickup, clear communication, and a charger that's ready to go the moment our installers arrive on site.  No complications. No delays. Just a smooth process from start to finish. 25 installations in and not a single one has been anything less than seamless. This is the standard we hold ourselves to. ⚡🤝

  • This is what an EV charger built specifically for Australia actually looks like. ⚡🇦🇺 Because building for Australia means building for heavy rain, extreme heat, and regional dust storms all at once. We didn't design around ideal conditions. We designed around the worst ones. That's the difference between a charger that lasts and one that doesn't.

  • You can model demand. You can run traffic studies. You can survey residents. At some point, you just have to install the charger and see. The data that comes back from a live site is more useful than any forecast. Which streets get used most. Which times of day. How quickly utilisation grows once local drivers discover something is there. We have learnt more from our first hundred sites than from everything that came before them. And what we have learnt is that the best way to understand kerbside charging is to put it on kerbs and watch what happens. Start. Measure. Expand. 👉 Is your council ready to start? https://lnkd.in/g5yRZGMc

  • The profile of the Australian EV buyer is changing. Fast. BYD dealerships are reporting around 50 test drives per day. The people walking in are not just early adopters anymore. They are everyday drivers who have looked at petrol prices, looked at their options, and decided it is time. That shift is showing up in our numbers too. Constituent enquiries to councils more than doubled from January to March and April this year. Demand for kerbside charging is not a niche concern. It is a mainstream one. Infrastructure needs to keep pace with who is actually buying EVs now, not who was buying them five years ago. 👉 Request a charger in your area: https://lnkd.in/g5yRZGMc

  • Every charge through an EVX polecharger is powered by 100% renewable energy. ⚡🌱 For drivers making the switch from petrol, that means every charge supports a cleaner way to travel. It's not just about lower running costs. It's about reducing emissions and making the move to electric even more meaningful. For councils, it strengthens the investment in public charging infrastructure, helping create communities that are ready for a cleaner, more sustainable future. 🌱 Think your street could benefit from an EVX polecharger? • 100 councils. 4 states. Getting kerbside charging infrastructure into everyday streets takes more than a product. It takes councils willing to partner up,, run the public consultation, and support our deployments. That is a real commitment, and more local governments are making it. We are now in conversation across NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. The councils that came on board early are already expanding. New ones are coming on faster than ever. Demand from constituents is driving it. EV sales are driving it. And the evidence that kerbside charging actually gets used is making the decision easier. If your council is not yet part of this, it might be time to ask why not. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/g5yRZGMc
