Big congratulations to Greenhouse member Cyan Ventures on the launch of the Green Fuels Accelerator! Australia has the feedstocks, the expertise and the demand to lead in low-carbon liquid fuels, what's been missing is the targeted support to get promising projects across the line. The Accelerator does exactly that: helping seven Australian low-carbon liquid fuel projects navigate financing, offtake and regulatory hurdles on the path to commercial production. It's backed by ARENA, with industry partners including Qantas and Boeing providing advisory support. What happens when a city invests in climate innovation? Vision. Long-term commitment. And partnership. When the City of Sydney supported the creation of Greenhouse, the ambition was bigger than creating a workspace. It was about creating the conditions for new ideas, emerging industries and climate solutions to thrive. Today, Greenhouse has grown into Australia's largest climate innovation ecosystem, connecting more than 1,000 members and engaging 22,000+ annual attendees through programs, events and initiatives that bring together founders, investors, industry, government and community. Last week, we were pleased to welcome representatives from the City of Sydney and the C40 Cities network to Greenhouse and share how that vision has evolved into a platform supporting founders, attracting investment, fostering collaboration and helping solutions move from idea to deployment. It was also an opportunity to reflect on what can be achieved when cities invest in the ecosystems that help innovation scale. Over the long weekend, members of the Greenhouse team joined The Big BBQ's successful Guinness World Record attempt for the largest barbecue/grilling lesson by attendance at the Harvest Festival at Zestiny Farm. Beyond the record itself, it was a celebration of local producers, food, learning and community connection.
