Qiu Hua is one of our students in the Advanced Stream of the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program delivered by Max Solutions RTO and studying the AHC30722 Certificate III in Horticulture. The Advanced Stream of the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program is structured to meet the educational needs of CALD students. The program empowers students with the confidence and practical experience required to thrive in the workforce. Specialised industry trainers and language, literacy, numeracy and digital Skills (LLND) specialists work closely with students to significantly enhance their LLND capacity and job prospects. In the Advanced Stream, Vocational Education and Training (VET) is contextualised with tailored LLND support underpinning the delivery. Throughout the program, students engage in various projects and collaborative activities that simulate the workplace environment, fostering teamwork and communication skills essential for success in their chosen skills. Recently, students from our Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program in Glen Waverley, Victoria received CPR and ambulance-emergency training from Ambulance Victoria. This activity links directly to the SEE Program’s objectives: ✔️ It builds practical, real-world skills: CPR/ambulance training is a concrete, transferable skill that students can use at home and in the community. ✔️ Calling an ambulance requires clear speaking, listening, and following instructions – core literacy, language, and numeracy skills. ✔️ Having CPR knowledge supports safer participation in work and training. ✔️ Students are equipped to navigate services, advocate for themselves and others, and make informed choices. ✔️ Being prepared to help in an emergency fosters agency, responsibility, and positive community contribution. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive hands-on CPR practice on the mannequin. Ben overcame substance abuse before going on to secure work, eventually being promoted to leadership positions at his job. And MAX is proud to have been part of his journey. Ben was in tears when he first came to see us. Our team knew that meaningful employment would only be sustainable if his wellbeing came first. We prioritised his health, supported him to apply for rehab, and—knowing there might be a wait—linked him with a local counsellor for immediate care and confidence building. That wraparound support helped Ben stabilise, reconnect with his strengths, and take control of his next steps. From there, we focused on building Ben’s ability to thrive in the workforce: ✅ Tailored coaching and mentoring to become job ready ✅ Strategies to manage stress, regulate cravings, and protect mental health ✅ Helping him get his motorbike learner’s licence Having his motorbike as a reliable mode of transport landed Ben a job as a delivery driver with a pizza chain and a trolley collector at a supermarket. The team continued to support Ben as he worked these jobs, checking-in on him offer encouragement and advice on workplace guidance. Ben eventually received an offer for a place in rehab; however, thanks to the early counselling and support he received, he declined his rehab spot. That same week, he stopped receiving payments from Centrelink, taking a major step towards independence. Sarah saw Ben recently in town. Beaming, he showed off his new motorbike that he had bought and shared even better news about his growth: he’d been promoted to manager at the pizza chain and a supervisor at the supermarket! We’re incredibly proud of Ben’s strength and resilience in overcoming his challenges to begin a new chapter on his life.

The SEE Program helps adults build foundational language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills—key to navigating health, legal, family, and community services with confidence. Our team will be there to offer information about the SEE Program and make connections with the women and families in the Launceston area. One of our Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program trainers recently demonstrated how creative teaching perfectly aligns with the program's core mission - preparing individuals for work, further study, and community participation. When delivering a lesson for Unit VU23492 - Participate in extremely familiar spoken exchanges, our trainer transformed the classroom into a realistic coffee shop simulation using everyday items. The authentic setup included: ✅ Real coffee cups (small, medium, large sizes) ✅ Menu with familiar items (cappuccino, flat white, hot chocolate, chai) ✅ EFTPOS payment practice ✅ Customer and barista role-play scenarios Aligned with SEE Program objectives, this activity helped student Meena: ✔️ Build confidence for real-world workplace interactions ✔️ Practice essential spoken exchanges needed for employment ✔️ Reduce barriers to community participation ✔️ Develop practical communication skills for everyday life ✔️ Connect classroom learning to authentic workplace scenarios By handling real resources and practicing familiar exchanges, Meena gained confidence and reduced mental barriers she might face in actual service environments - exactly what the SEE Program aims to achieve. This exemplifies how our trainers at Max Solutions RTO 0667 create learning experiences that don't just teach language skills, but prepare students for sustainable employment and meaningful community engagement. Our Perth North participants of the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program recently took part in “Drawing Breath” at the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA). This mindful, hands-on workshop invited participants to slow down, look closely, and respond to art through making. This excursion supported our learners’ growth by: - Enhancing wellbeing through mindfulness - Encouraging critical thinking, creativity and reflection - Improving understanding in sustainability in practice At Max Solutions RTO, we’re proud to provide learning experiences like this for participants that expands horizons and strengthens community connections. These activities extend learning from the classroom into real life settings, reinforcing skills introduced in class. Max Solutions RTO have teamed up with Polaron Connect for a Lunch & Learn event exploring how lifelong learning and skills development can empower people — and communities.   Our Client Relationship Manager, Mash Samuel, will share insights into Max Solutions RTO’s free Skills for Education and Employment program — an Australian Government initiative that helps adults strengthen their core skills and open new pathways to work or study.
