As a Curtin University spin-out based in Western Australia, RapidGraphite specialises in the production of synthetic graphite.     #ASXNews InVert to acquire licenceholder of RapidPulseTM Graphite Processing Technology Vertically integrating a process developed at Curtin University that demonstrates potential to convert natural graphite into battery-grade graphite InVert Graphite is pleased to announce it has signed binding conditional agreements to acquire all of the issued share capital of RapidGraphite Pty Ltd (RapidG) (Acquisition), which holds an exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence for, and an option to acquire for nil consideration following completion of the Acquisition, the RapidPulseTM technology, a novel process developed at Curtin University in Western Australia with promising applications for potentially converting natural graphite to battery-grade graphite within seconds. • RapidPulseTM test work on InVert’s Morogoro #graphite samples demonstrated materially improved crystallinity, non-acid purification to approximately 99% purity, and potential upcycling of graphite waste. • The experimental process requires no acid purification, achieving high purity in a single step without the chemical washing required by conventional methods. • The acquisition enables access to a pre-pilot Centorr Furnace capable of processing up to 1kg samples, which is installed at Curtin University for ongoing and scaled-up graphite production trials using the technology. • The transaction builds in ongoing R&D alignment, with Curtin University becoming a shareholder of InVert Graphite. • RapidGraphite expects to benefit from an A$439,664 AEA Ignite grant awarded by the Australian Government to Curtin University to scale the RapidPulse™ technology. • InVert is rapidly building a vertically integrated graphite opportunity, combining the RapidPulseTM technology with the Company’s 100% owned Morogoro high-grade natural graphite project in Tanzania. • Firm commitments have been received by InVert for a strongly supported Placement to institutions and sophisticated investors to raise A$2.5 million before costs, predominantly to advance ongoing and scaled-up graphite trials using the RapidPulseTM technology. #IVG Managing Director, Andrew Lawson, commented: "The upcoming acquisition of RapidGraphite is a transformational milestone for InVert.     2026 is shaping up to be a BIG year at RapidGraphite! 🚀 We're thrilled to announce that we've been awarded a grant through Australia's Economic Accelerator (AEA) Ignite program for the project: 'Green synthetic graphite for Australian made lithium-ion batteries' 🔋 This grant delivers $439,664 in funding from the Department of Education to fund scale up R&D. With matching cash and in-kind contributions from collaborators Curtin University, Out The Back Ventures and ourselves, the total project value exceeds $1 million! 💚 This is a major milestone in our mission to establish a green supply of synthetic graphite - a critical material that makes up 25% of every lithium-ion battery. Our world-first RapidPulse technology transforms stainable feedstocks into high-quality synthetic graphite, slashing both cost and production time while eliminating the ESG concerns of traditional manufacturing. Through this project, we'll scale our technology to produce Australia's first synthetic graphite battery anode material at the pre-pilot scale - enabling extensive industry validation and bringing us closer to domestic battery manufacturing independence.   • 🎉 Huge congratulations to our co-founder, Dr Jacob W. Martin , on being awarded a prestigious Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) from the Australian Research Council! The DECRA is one of Australia's most competitive research grants, recognising exceptional early-career researchers who are emerging leaders in their fields. Dr Martin's funded project, "Carbon nanoparticles: a blessing and a curse for hydrogen production," tackles a critical challenge in clean energy. While carbon nanoparticles formed during methane pyrolysis can be valuable materials, their uncontrolled growth currently hinders efficient hydrogen production. Jacob's research will unlock the fundamental mechanisms behind nanoparticle formation, paving the way for optimised catalysts and reactor designs that could accelerate the transition to clean hydrogen. This recognition not only celebrates Jacob's outstanding research contributions but also reinforces our commitment to advancing innovative solutions for a sustainable energy future.     Last week I had the privilege of attending the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) 2025 in Sydney. It's Australia's largest mining conference, gathering more than 10,000 industry leaders on a global stage to tackle the big challenges facing our industry. As an IMARC newbie, I wasn't sure what to expect, but to say it was fantastic would be an understatement – a week filled with catching up with old friends, meeting new faces, and diving deep into the innovations shaping our future ✨ A special thanks goes out to the Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer team for creating this incredible opportunity for me to present RapidGraphite 🙏 Being part of such a dynamic program really highlighted the power of bringing research and industry together. There were so many highlights, but a few stand out: • Participating in a roundtable discussion on Research–Industry Collaboration and how we can better connect Australia's academic and business leaders to unlock real value 💡 • Pitching RapidGraphite at the IMARC Innovation Pitch Battle 🎤 What an experience! Huge congratulations to the overall winner @Liz Dennett, PhD from Endolith, and to my fellow finalists Leigh Staines with Banksia Minerals Processing, David Smirk at Bioculum, and Matthew Forrest from EcoHoist.
