As CEO of Greenpeace Australia Pacific, I lead a talented and passionate team campaigning for an earth capable of nurturing life in all of its magnificent diversity. I am a widely published commentator on politics, law, history and current affairs and hold honourary affiliations with the University of Sydney and the University of Western Australia. I am also an author and speaker, focussing on the climate crisis in Australia and taking action through hope.
I returned to Australia to take up the role as CEO in 2012 after five years working in a senior campaigns position with Greenpeace in London. There I worked on the global issues of destructive fishing, deforestation and climate change.
Prior to joining Greenpeace, I worked as an academic and a lawyer in both commercial and native title practices.

The high fuel prices right now are a reminder of the much lower running costs EVs can offer. EVs are becoming cheaper too, but the upfront cost is still a barrier for many households struggling with the cost of living pressures. I worked on drafting RAC’s submission to the review of the Electric Car Discount, which looks at why incentives can still play an important role in making EVs more affordable. Worth a read if you're interested in EV policy in Australia. #EVs #energytransition
