S | T | A | M | P | E | D is where every reliable #PTFE hose assembly begins. ℹ️ When specifying a PTFE hose assembly for Pharmaceutical, Chemical processing, Food & Beverage, or general Industrial manufacturing applications, getting the right information from the outset is critical. Asking the right questions and understanding the application requirements helps ensure the correct hose selection, avoiding costly specification errors, unplanned downtime, premature maintenance, and unnecessary expense ⚠️ One of the most widely recognised approaches in the industry is STAMPED, a simple but highly effective framework for selecting the right hose assembly for any application. Overlooking just one of these factors can compromise performance, shorten service life, and increase total operating costs. At Xtraflex, STAMPED is where the conversation starts, not where it ends. 🗣️ Our teams takes the time to understand the complete application before recommending a solution. Whether it's a Smoothbore hose for maximum flow, a Convoluted design for greater flexibility, or an ultra-hygienic assembly for Pharmaceutical and Food processing, every hose assembly is engineered to meet the demands of its operating environment. All Xtraflex #PTFE hose assemblies are pressure tested, uniquely identified, and supplied with the documentation your industry requires, helping ensure confidence from installation through to operation. Which element of STAMPED do you find is most commonly overlooked when specifying a hose assembly? #Xtraflex #PTFEHose #HoseTechnology #FluidTransfer #AdvancedManufacturing #Engineering #EngineeringSolutions #ProcessEngineering #TechnicalSolutions #GoWithTheFlow 🔵⚫

Chemical Resistant. Lightweight. Flexible. Cost Effective. Reliable. The benefits of Polypropylene braided #PTFE hoses. 🔵⚫ Choosing the right braid material can have a major impact on hose performance, installation, and overall system cost. Polypropylene braided PTFE hose assemblies provide a lightweight, cost-effective solution for applications where chemical resistance, flexibility, and reliable fluid transfer are essential. ⚙️ The combination of a chemically resistant PTFE liner with Polypropylene reinforcement provides excellent flexibility, reduced weight, and dependable performance in demanding environments, while offering a practical and economical alternative where ease of handling is important. By combining the proven performance of a PTFE liner with the benefits of Polypropylene reinforcement, Xtraflex delivers hose solutions designed for demanding industrial applications: 🔹 SMOOTH-FLOW® Polypropylene Braid – When smoothbore performance, excellent flow characteristics, and easy cleaning are critical, Smooth-Flow delivers. Its non-convoluted PTFE liner provides low pressure drops and outstanding chemical resistance, while the Polypropylene braid offers lightweight flexibility and cost-effective protection. 🔹 CONVO-FLOW® Polypropylene Braid – For applications requiring increased flexibility, suction capability, and vacuum performance, Convo-Flow combines a flexible convoluted PTFE liner with lightweight Polypropylene reinforcement. This construction provides reliable performance, chemical compatibility, and durability in demanding handling environments. 🔹 CORE-FLOW® Polypropylene Braid – Designed for applications where flexibility, cleanability, and enhanced vacuum performance are important. The Core-Flow shallow convolution profile improves drainability and reduces product retention, while the external wire reinforcement provides increased vacuum resistance, mechanical support, and kink protection. Selecting the right hose braid material is about finding the balance between performance, application requirements, and total cost of ownership. 🔗 Explore our complete and Polypropylene braided PTFE hose range here → https://lnkd.in/eGU84Q-P #Xtraflex #PTFEHose #HoseTechnology #FluidTransfer #AdvancedManufacturing #EngineeringSolutions #ProcessEngineering #TechnicalSolutions #PolypropyleneBraid #GoWithTheFlow →🔵⚫

Some applications demand a more specialised #PTFE hose solution. That's where our bespoke PTFE hose assemblies come in. 📈 Our specialist product range includes bespoke PTFE hose assemblies engineered for the most demanding process applications. Whether the priority is temperature control, chemical compatibility, pressure, flexibility or hygiene, every solution is designed around the demands of the process. → https://lnkd.in/en-NSsK2 🔹 DOUBLE JACKETED HOSES – Designed for applications where the process media must be heated or cooled while remaining isolated from the external heating medium. By circulating hot oil or low-pressure steam through the outer jacket, these assemblies help maintain consistent product temperatures, making them ideal for transferring viscous materials that could otherwise solidify or become difficult to pump. 🔹 ELECTRICAL TRACED HOSES – Where precise temperature maintenance is critical, electrically traced PTFE hose assemblies provide controlled heating directly within the hose assembly. They help prevent crystallisation, minimise viscosity changes and maintain stable process conditions throughout transfer, making them well suited to chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industrial applications. At Xtraflex, we combine the manufacture of high-quality PTFE hose assemblies with the engineering expertise to develop bespoke solutions for demanding applications. ℹ️ If you're working on a challenging process or need a specialist PTFE hose assembly, we'd be happy to discuss your requirements and help identify the right solution. 🫱🏼🫲🏻 #Xtraflex #PTFEHose #HoseTechnology #FluidTransfer #AdvancedManufacturing #ProductInnovation #EngineeringSolutions #ProcessEngineering #TechnicalSolutions #GoWithTheFlow →🔵⚫

The results are in... 📊 54% said Chemical Compatibility is the biggest challenge when selecting a PTFE hose assembly. PTFE is renowned for its exceptionally broad Chemical resistance, so surely that's the easy part? In reality, it's often where the biggest mistakes are made. Selecting a #PTFE hose assembly isn't simply about asking, 'Will PTFE handle this Chemical?' 🧪 It's about understanding the complete application: 🔹 The Chemical (or mixture) being conveyed. 🔹 Concentration and temperature. 🔹 Pressure and vacuum conditions. 🔹 Cleaning processes. 🔹 End fittings and wetted materials. 🔹 Static dissipation requirements. 🔹 Expected service life. A PTFE liner may be (as usually is) the right choice, but the entire hose assembly must be correctly specified for the application and operating environment. It's also interesting that lead time and total cost of ownership received the same number of votes. That reflects the reality many OEMs, distributors and maintenance teams face, where availability, reliability and service life are just as important as initial purchase price. Thank you to everyone who voted. #Xtraflex #PTFEHose #HoseTechnology #FluidTransfer #AdvancedManufacturing #ProductInnovation #EngineeringSolutions #ProcessEngineering #TechnicalSolutions #GoWithTheFlow →🔵⚫
