Since stepping into the President and CEO role in May, she’s led PavCo through a defining moment for B.C., with Vancouver on the world stage as a host city for FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and U.S.A.   Looking ahead, Rehana is focused on building on this momentum through innovation, operational excellence, collaboration, and continued economic and community benefit for British Columbia. From B.C. soil to the world stage, now back to its roots.   We are officially the first FIFA World Cup 2026 venue to recycle its playing surface!   This past week, the hybrid grass pitch at BC Place was harvested and returned to Bos Sod Farms in the Fraser Valley, where it will be composted and sustainably repurposed.   It’s part of our broader recycling investment that will see 99% of materials within the field of play reused or recycled – from field sand to irrigation components to grow lights, goal posts, and more.   As a newly LEED Gold certified venue, we’re proud to invest in solutions that support a more sustainable future for events in B.C.   A made-in-B.C. story, come full circle. #StadiumBusiness #Vancouver #sustainability

Our next draw for the BC Place Community Benefit Program is now open for submissions!   Eligible BC-based charities, non-profits, and community groups can apply to receive tickets to events at BC Place during July to November 2026. PavCo, in partnership with the Government of British Columbia and the City of Vancouver, is pleased to share the organizations that will be receiving donated tickets to attend select FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States matches in Vancouver, facilitated through our BC Place Community Benefit Program. We're also excited to share that the number of donated tickets through this initiative has increased from 350 to 500, expanding access for B.C. children and youth to attend this historic event. It’s World Environment Day, and this year we are celebrating a special milestone at BC Place: we have officially received our LEED Gold Certification!   For a stadium built in 1983, sustainability doesn’t happen by accident. This recognition reflects years of intentional work, innovation, and commitment. Throughout the application process, our team has advanced sustainability efforts in energy, water, waste, transportation, and guest experience. Initiatives like our rainwater harvesting system, our reusable cups program, and our Zero Waste Certification have put sustainability at the forefront of our operations.   As we approach our stadium’s 43rd anniversary this month, we’re proud to say that doing better never gets old.   #WorldEnvironmentDay #LEEDGold #Sustainability
