This milestone has been made possible by the skill, dedication, and craftsmanship of our #NewFlyerTeam. This facility represents a significant advancement for Canadian manufacturing, as it allows for full, start-to-finish transit bus production in Canada for the first time in 15 years. Each bus built here helps strengthen local manufacturing, support skilled jobs, and build a more resilient Canadian supply chain. Bus #100 is heading to the City of Ottawa’s OC Transpo as part of its order of 124 Xcelsior CHARGE NG™ 40' battery-electric buses, which supports the agency's commitment to sustainable public transit. New Flyer recently visited MBTA’s new Quincy Bus Maintenance Facility, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed in 2027. This sustainable facility will replace the old garage in the MBTA system and support the agency’s battery-electric bus fleet with heavy-duty charging systems. Exciting news! We're proud to announce a new partnership with Westchester County’s Bee-Line system in New York for 116 New Flyer 40' and 5 New Flyer 35' Xcelsior® hybrid-electric buses. This order reinforces Westchester’s history of investing in hybrid technology with New Flyer to support its sustainability goals and enhance service options in its coverage area.
