What an incredible turnout at Friday's Tech Connect Alberta community meetup. ✨ Huge thanks to everyone who came out to Platform Calgary for Beyond Automation: Engineering Quality with an AI Agent, the energy in the room said it all. Notebooks out, questions flying, and a room full of real learners: students, working developers, and industry folks all in one place, digging into where quality engineering is headed. A massive thank you to our speaker, Abhinav Sharma, Senior Software Developer at Rewind, for a genuinely excellent session. 🔑 A few takeaways that stuck with the room: - AI agents go beyond chatbots, they plan, execute, test, and iterate - Strong planning and clear workflows matter as much as the code itself - Good engineering fundamentals (TDD, code reviews, clean architecture) matter more, not less, in an AI-assisted world - Prompt injection and AI security are real, emerging concerns every developer should have on their radar - The bottom line: AI won't replace engineers, but engineers who use AI well will have a real edge Thank you to Darpan Shah representing BrowserStack, our partner in bringing this collaboration to life. And of course, none of this runs without our team: Vaishali Mittal for keeping the evening moving as MC, and our TCA ambassadors Sukhman Singh, Michael Le, Jigar Kanjani and Vivian Cheng for all the support behind the scenes. More meetups coming soon. Come learn, connect, and grow with us. 🚀 #TechConnectAlberta #AI #AIAgents #SoftwareEngineering #QualityEngineering #SoftwareQuality #QA #Automation #AgenticAI #CalgaryTech
