Metro Vancouver's transportation authority, looking after transit, roads, bridges, cycling and pedestrian paths
About us
TransLink is Metro Vancouver’s regional transportation authority and as an enterprise, we’re proud to be one of BC’s Top Employers. Stand on a street corner in Metro Vancouver and very likely, within a couple minutes, you’ll see us! We are the people and goods movers for our region. But, what does that mean? We manage and operate an integrated regional transportation system — connecting communities by bus, rail, SeaBus, custom transit services, pedestrian and cycling paths, the Major Road Network and five bridges. Helping people and goods get from A to B — that’s our bread and butter. At the same time, we help deliver the region’s goal of creating a greener, more sustainable, more livable Metro Vancouver. We serve 500,000 people a day — young and old from all parts of our region and all walks of life. We deliver them to the people and places that matter to them, and back again. Our employees are united by the common goal of delivering the best to our customers no matter where they work — the shop floor, in the drivers’ seat, planning for the future, managing our Compass Card system, keeping customers safe, or staffing our stations, just to name a few. Our enterprise includes TransLink and three operating companies: B.C. Rapid Transit Company, Coast Mountain Bus Company, and Transit Police. We’re delivering for today and planning for the future, and we’re always looking for top talent. Want to see where you fit in? Check out translink.ca/careers.

Home team, historic win! 🥇 As Team Canada celebrated its first FIFA World Cup™ men’s victory, nearly half a million people from all over the region took transit at least once in Metro Vancouver yesterday. From Richmond to Burnaby, the Tri-Cities to Surrey, fans packed SkyTrain stations and buses on their way to BC Place Vancouver, FIFA Fan Festival™ Vancouver, watch parties, and numerous other celebrations. June 18 was our busiest day in more than six years: 💡 More than 1.36 million boardings 💡 Roughly 849,000 trips 💡 An 18% boost in ridership compared to a typical Thursday Some of our biggest ridership jumps happened at Bridgeport, Brentwood Town Centre, Oakridge–41st Avenue, and Burquitlam stations. This just reflects how many communities came together for the momentous match. It’s what transit is all about: connecting people and getting them where they need to go safely and reliably — no matter the scale of the event. To everyone joining us on board during the tournament, thank you for making transit a part of these unforgettable moments. We’re ready to keep Metro Vancouver moving. Go Canada Go!

Breaking transit records 👏 June 13 was the busiest Saturday for transit at stations around BC Place Vancouver since the 2010 Winter Olympics. For Match 1 of FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver (Türkiye vs Australia), ridership around BC Place went way beyond major Saturday events like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the Lionel Messi match as well. Across the entire TransLink system, we recorded more than a million boardings on bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express. Compared to a typical day, June 13 saw: 📈 1,031,000 total boardings — up 14.3% 🚍 558,300 bus boardings — up 6.6% 🚆 447,200 SkyTrain boardings — up 25% ⛴️ 24,500 SeaBus boardings — up 37.4% A boarding is counted every time someone gets on any mode of transit. In total, 355,000 riders used transit on June 13 — nearly 50,000 more riders than a typical day. 💡 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gPDJ-SGG
