I’m incredibly honoured to share that Kiwi Charge won the Grandmothers’ Choice Award at Startupfest! 🏆 This award means so much. Not only because of the recognition, but because of the wonderful new friends and advisors we gained along the way. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible judges: Louise Hébert-Lalonde, Merle Finkelstein, Sonia Hazan, and Doreen Croll. Your thoughtful questions, honest feedback, and genuine belief in what we are building made this experience truly special. In a very “startup founder” moment, I completely missed the email saying Kiwi Charge had been shortlisted. By the time the winner was announced, I had already started driving back to Toronto! Louise, thank you for stepping onto the stage and pitching Kiwi Charge on my behalf. More importantly, thank you for candidly sharing your personal experience supporting an ill loved one and the challenges that made our mission resonate with you. It was a powerful reminder that the problem we are solving is ultimately about people, making EV ownership easier and removing one burden from their lives. I came to Startupfest hoping to share our vision. I left with an award, meaningful friendships, and four incredible new advisors in our corner.
