Parce que la sécurité fait partie de notre ADN, nos journées sécurité s'inscrivent dans une démarche d'amélioration continue centrée sur les facteurs humains et organisationnels. Au cours des quatre dernières années, nous avons exploré quatre thématiques clés : ✅ L'erreur humaine, pour mieux comprendre nos limites et l'importance des barrières de sécurité. ✅ Les biais cognitifs, pour mieux évaluer les risques et éclairer nos décisions. ✅ La vigilance partagée, pour renforcer notre capacité à observer, alerter et échanger collectivement. ✅ Les conséquences d'un accident grave, pour rappeler les enjeux humains, organisationnels et juridiques de la prévention (sujet de 2026). Because safety is embedded in how we work, our safety days are part of a continuous improvement process focused on human and organizational factors. Over the past four years, we have explored four key themes: ✅ Human error, to better understand our limitations and the importance of safety barriers. ✅ Cognitive biases, to better assess risks and influence our decisions. ✅ Shared vigilance, to strengthen our ability to observe, alert, and communicate collectively. ✅ The consequences of a serious accident, to highlight the human, organizational, and legal implications of prevention (the topic for 2026). Deux journées d’échanges qui ont porté sur le 𝗿𝗼̂𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝘂 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝘀-𝘀𝗼𝗹 dans la transition énergétique, le développement régional et la sécurité énergétique (France et Europe). The two days of discussions focused on 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 in the context of the energy transition, regional development, and energy security in France and Europe. Our CEO, Pantxika Etcheverry, joined a panel with Ruxandra Lazar (Attorney), Yannick Peysson (Head of R&D Programs at IFPEN), and Marie Françoise Nadau (Mayor of Parentis-en-Born) to explore: - the expected impacts of the phase-out of oil production in France by 2040, including societal, environmental, and economic considerations; - operational realities, such as maintaining production, managing well closures, and repurposing sites and skills; - the role of government in supporting these transitions; opportunities for innovation and diversification of regional activities; barriers that stakeholders are working to address. #GeoDays2026 #EnergyTransition #Regions #Sovereignty #AVENIA #Vermilion

Recently, colleagues in The Netherlands came together for two energetic padel sessions: full of teamwork, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. Padel is easy to pick up, social by nature, and a great way to stay active, making it the perfect activity to connect outside the workplace. Approximately 90 staff from our Calgary office supported eight community partners with food preparation and distribution, tree planting, gardening, and socializing with seniors.
