Ryan Murphy Construction was thrilled to work with the staff at Holistic Institute of Health and Fertility for a second time! The clinic had outgrown its north location and needed a new space to house all the treatment and healing spaces, and found one in the exciting community of Greenwich.

Ryan Murphy Construction was thrilled to work with the staff at Holistic Institute of Health and Fertility for a second time! The clinic had outgrown its north location and needed a new space to house all the treatment and healing spaces, and found one in the exciting community of Greenwich.

RMC completed a full build out of a newly constructed empty space including framing and drywall of walls, installing flooring, and development of ceilings, rooms, and millwork on the reception desk, kitchenette, hallway and closets/storage spaces. We also managed the completion of all plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, lighting, and painting. What a ‘labour’ of love! Show less

We updated the nursing room with fun mushroomy wallpaper and new flooring, and we created a subdued lighting environment for a relaxing experience. We also added millwork benches, replaced the countertop, and added a comfy change table space.

In the existing sensory area we painted the millwork and added upholstery, replaced the flooring, created a tree nook, and installed felt ceiling baffles and wall panels to help with the acoustics.

We built a display case for the Indigenous moss bag installation, we added swing doors to make sure the kiddos stay safe, and installed the grid on the ceiling that the Spark staff lovingly hung ribbons from to create a flowing, suspended ‘chandelier’. The incomparable Kasian Architecture firm designed a truly innovative renovation plan for the Infinity Dome. Ryan Murphy Construction replaced the 4 older projectors with 8 new projectors for 8k viewing. We installed new seats designed especially for the best degree of viewing, and added a stage area with ramps and bleacher seating for better stroller and accessibility access. Additional accessibility elements added to improve the Dome’s inclusivity were to replacement of drywall with new glass… Show more

The incomparable Kasian Architecture firm designed a truly innovative renovation plan for the Infinity Dome. Ryan Murphy Construction replaced the 4 older projectors with 8 new projectors for 8k viewing. We installed new seats designed especially for the best degree of viewing, and added a stage area with ramps and bleacher seating for better stroller and accessibility access. Additional accessibility elements added to improve the Dome’s inclusivity were to replacement of drywall with new glass railing for better viewing, contrasting handrails, illuminated steps, carpet and nosing contrast.
We also built a new seating area outside the Dome with curved ledges and hanging panels that bring colour and movement to the space. Show less

Located at the base of The Underwood Tower in Victoria Park, this licensed food hall features 10 vendors and a heated 50-seat patio that backs onto Haultain Park. The existing heritage front entrance is in an Edwardian-era commercial building faced with red brick and sandstone detailing, which was built in 1911 by Thomas Underwood, a successful Calgary builder, contractor and developer. Located at the base of The Underwood Tower in Victoria Park, this licensed food hall features 10 vendors and a heated 50-seat patio that backs onto Haultain Park. The existing heritage front entrance is in an Edwardian-era commercial building faced with red brick and sandstone detailing, which was built in 1911 by Thomas Underwood, a successful Calgary builder, contractor and developer. The floor space was paramount in this design, giving us the opportunity to be creative with the ductwork and mechanical room. The existing rear aluminum-framed glass nana wall can be opened to invite the outdoors inside, allowing for creative opportunities in the hall and creating an unobstructed view of the city. These coffeehouse and wine bar venues not only makes a good cup of coffee, but it also features local artists and live music you can enjoy with a glass of wine or craft beer and great food.
We've done different types of work at each location, but have had a wonderful time working with Andy and the team to bring the vision to life.

Located downtown on Stephen Avenue at 1st Street and 8th Avenue SE, the Calgary Telus Convention Centre hosts myriad events and was in need of an update. For this renovation, we demolished and completely rebuilt the pre-function event space, where we added new flooring, wall and column finishes, glass doors, and electrical updates to the lighting and fire-alarm system. To improve the level of meaningful access, we widened the washroom entrances with doorless entry and installed larger… Show more

For this renovation, we demolished and completely rebuilt the pre-function event space, where we added new flooring, wall and column finishes, glass doors, and electrical updates to the lighting and fire-alarm system. To improve the level of meaningful access, we widened the washroom entrances with doorless entry and installed larger accessible stalls, with automated soap and hand dryers within easy reach of the sinks. We also renovated the common space with reachable outlets and lowered phones.

The overall area was redesigned as a universal space, where we installed one-of-a-kind architectural ceiling fins created from recycled pop bottles. We added contrasting colours to the walls, and we updated the T-bar ceiling with drywall. Additionally, a custom felt wall was designed and installed by a Toronto-based artist using Canadian material. Show less
