Insights 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 In collaboration with the Swiss IR Club, S&P Global Market Intelligence has published its latest quarterly analysis of institutional ownership across Swiss listed securities offering a data-driven view on how capital is moving in the market. 🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗤1 𝟮𝟬𝟮6? • 📈 Switzerland attracted +$16.1bn in net institutional inflows, underlining continued investor confidence. • 🌍 Domestic investors led the way, followed by strong inflows from UK & Ireland and North America. • 📊 Index investors were the primary drivers of inflows, contributing +$12.13bn, while value strategies also remained positive. • 💼 Active portfolios returned as net buyers, and active investors continue to represent 69% of the Swiss equity market. The report provides a comprehensive, anonymised view of the “true free float” by filtering out strategic holdings and focusing on institutional ownership.
