Technology and information services firm <\/span>Attix<\/b> is moving its headquarters from Los Angeles to SoHo, Commercial Observer has learned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attix, which creates artificial intelligence-powered software for hedge funds and trading firms, has signed a five-year lease for 18,759 square feet on the entire second floor and part of the third floor of <\/span>United American Land<\/b>\u2019s <\/span>73 Spring Street<\/b>, according to a source with knowledge of the deal. Asking rent was $78 per square foot.<\/span><\/p>\n

The deal represents the firm\u2019s introduction to New York City, as it is based in Los Angeles and has another office in Singapore, according to <\/span>LinkedIn<\/b><\/a>. It will keep its Los Angeles office but consider the New York City spot its new headquarters, the source said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lee & Associates NYC<\/b>\u2019s <\/span>Justin Myers<\/b> and <\/span>Dennis Someck <\/b>brokered the deal for the tenant, while <\/span>Newmark<\/b>\u2019s <\/span>Brett Harvey<\/b>, <\/span>Howard Hersch<\/b>, <\/span>Jennifer Schreiber <\/b>and <\/span>Natalie Serio<\/b> represented the landlord.<\/span><\/p>\n

“73 Spring Street was an ideal location for Attix to open its New York City headquarters,” Myers said in a statement sent to CO. “The building offers a gorgeous prebuilt space in the heart of SoHo, complete with glass rooms, exposed brick and high ceilings.”<\/p>\n

Newmark declined to comment, while spokespeople for Attix and United American Land did not immediately respond to requests for comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear when Attix will move into its new space between Crosby and Lafayette streets, but it will join several other tenants at the six-story building, including dermatologist <\/span>Dr. Maryann Mikhail<\/b>, advertising agency <\/span>Fig<\/b><\/a> and shoe store <\/span>Allbirds<\/b><\/a>, which occupies the ground-floor retail space.<\/span><\/p>\n

News of the deal comes after clothing company <\/span>Los Angeles Apparel<\/b> signed a lease for 24,687 square feet nearby at <\/span>KPG Funds<\/b>\u2019 <\/span>480 Broadway<\/b> earlier this month, <\/span>as CO previously reported<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
