Popular kosher grocery chain <\/span>Bingo Wholesale<\/b> is expanding its Brooklyn footprint into Bedford-Stuyvesant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bingo\u2019s holding company, <\/span>Norworth Holdings<\/b>, carried out a $50 million acquisition across three industrial property transactions along Warsoff Place and Walworth Street, according to property <\/span>records filed Thursday<\/span><\/a>. The selling entities, <\/span>LFFT TIC<\/b> and <\/span>EFFT TIC<\/b>, are tied to members of the <\/span>Follman<\/b> family, who owned the parcels. <\/span>Abraham Follman<\/b> served as the entity\u2019s signatory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the transactions was the purchase of a $25 million commercial condo at <\/span>18 Warsoff Place<\/b>, at the corner of Flushing Avenue. The industrial building spans 37,916 square feet and neighbors Bingo\u2019s second $14 million acquisition at <\/span>39 Walworth Street<\/b>. The 69,747-square-foot industrial building straddles both blocks between Flushing and Park avenues.<\/span><\/p>\n

An unaddressed Walworth Street property next door \u2014 the tax lot of which measures 13,613 square feet \u2014 was also included in the deal for $11 million. Additional air rights across the transactions totaled 172,796 square feet, <\/span>according to PincusCo<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The transaction is expected to result in Bingo\u2019s fifth supermarket location. Its kosher offerings will serve Bed-Stuy\u2019s growing Jewish community. Bingo\u2019s stores in Brooklyn, Manhattan\u2019s Inwood neighborhood, Monsey, N.Y., and Lakewood, N.J., all serve large Orthodox Jewish populations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Official site plans for the new Bed-Stuy spot, however, have not yet been disclosed by the grocer. Representatives for Bingo did not respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The multi-parcel transaction has been years in the making, PincusCo reported, as now-resolved litigation within the Follman family sought to block the deal. Follman could not immediately be reached for comment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
