Users can already unlock doors from their watch, and now they can also receive notifications when someone rings the intercom. Great ideas don't just happen by chance. They happen when people are trusted to make them a reality.   After seeing the success of a similar initiative at our parent company, Axis Communications, Jan Drápal recognized an opportunity to bring the concept to 2N. The result was 2N Innovation Days—two days dedicated to giving colleagues the time and freedom to collaborate, think differently, and turn great ideas into real innovations.   For Jan, the goal was to give people the chance to influence the future of 2N, work with colleagues across the company, and prove that the next great idea could come from anyone. As Jan says:    "It changes the conversation from people asking, 'Why aren't we doing this?' to me asking, 'Show me why we should do it and how.'"   The first 2N Innovation Days were a huge success, bringing together around 50 colleagues from across the business. The winning ideas are now being explored by the relevant teams, with some expected to find their way into future 2N solutions.   Innovation Days are a great example of what makes our company so special. We encourage people to bring their ideas forward, give them the opportunity to make them happen, and celebrate what they achieve together.   One final question we asked Jan was whether he had a favorite innovation. Twenty-one years is a long time in any career. It's even longer when your first day on the job happened before you were old enough to drive!   Marek Chládek joined 2N aged 15, packing exhibition materials for a few hours a week after school. One of his first assignments was to handwrite around 200 invitations for a trade show booth and, by his own admission, his handwriting was so bad that quite a few of them never made it out the door.   Twenty-one years later, he has grown alongside the company, moving through roles in marketing support, online marketing, and product marketing while helping shape how 2N tells the story of its products to customers around the world.   When we asked Marek what kept him here all this time, his answer was: "The people. I've always been surrounded by colleagues who genuinely care about the products, the solutions we create, and our customers."   So, as 2N celebrates 35 years, we're also celebrating the people who helped build the company along the way.   Over the coming months, we'll be sharing stories from colleagues reflecting on their time at 2N. Stories of growth, memorable moments, and advice they'd pass on to their younger selves.   After 21 years, Marek has settled on one particularly practical recommendation: Don't drink too much at company events!   Thank you, Marek, for your 21 years at 2N and for everything you've helped build along the way. 35 years of innovation, growth, and opening doors. What better reason to celebrate?! Last week, the team at 2N came together to mark an incredible milestone: our 35th anniversary! After our Mid-year Evaluation, where we looked back on everything we've achieved so far this year as a company and shared our plans for the future, it was time to swap presentations for pétanque, spreadsheets for sport, and meetings for a BBQ on Prague's Střelecký ostrov. With activities like archery, tennis, human foosball and roasting sausages on the campfire, the afternoon was packed with friendly competition, great food, plenty of laughs, and even better company. The event was a great reminder that while products, technology, and innovation are at the heart of what we do, it's the people behind them who have built 2N over the last 35 years and who will shape the next 35. Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and to all our colleagues for making it such a memorable celebration.
