This industry learned a lot of what it knows from a handful of people who published in the open, and I learned from them too. The credit is overdue, so here is the list, with what each of them gave. Pierluigi Vinciguerra has shipped The Web Scraping Club every week since 2022 and runs a public benchmark of proxy prices, which takes nerve in this market. Jan Čurn built Apify and then co-created Prague Crawl, so this industry finally got a room to meet in. Jason Grad turned market mapping into a public habit, and his essays on how the web should let agents in started arguments this niche needed. Gregor Žunič and Magnus Müller built Browser Use, the library that turned agents browsing the web from a demo into a default. Suchintan Singh builds Skyvern in public, the code and the reasoning both. Shane Evans co-created Scrapy IO back in 2008, then built Zyte on top of it, and this year his team put out a public industry report on the whole niche. Ian Kerins built ScrapeOps and wrote The Python Scrapy Playbook, and if you ever fixed a broken spider at 2am, odds are one of his guides was open in the next tab. These names lowered the bar to enter this niche, and they did it in the open. Who taught you this niche? Drop them below, the list has a second edition in it.

Creating Actors just got easier! Starting a new Actor used to mean picking from templates and hoping you chose the right one. The new creation flow asks two questions: what do you want to build, and which language do you prefer? Then it surfaces the most relevant templates for you. Less scrolling, faster start. Try it yourself! Link in comments 👇

Finding TikTok creators for a campaign usually means hours of manual scrolling, copy-pasting follower counts into a spreadsheet, and still not knowing if the engagement is real. There's an Apify Actor for that. Search by keyword or AI prompt, pull profile data straight into Google Sheets, and schedule it to refresh automatically. No code required. Full breakdown in the comments 👇

One layer of the GTM stack still can't run through MCP: signal. Alex Vacca's system leans on an Apify workflow or n8n to cover that layer until an MCP for it ships, while Claude runs the rest of the stack directly. Plan for that gap before you wire your own stack 👇

We stopped clicking through GTM tools at Frontal AI.   The unlock is MCP. Think of it as the plug that lets Claude operate a tool directly: no dashboard, no tab-switching. I tell Claude what I want, and it runs the tools for me.   Almost every layer of the GTM stack now has at least one tool with an MCP. Start with one per layer, wired into the same window. (Some are going further: Clay just shipped its own Claude Code CLI. The tools are racing to get inside the window.) So here's the menu, from first signal to closed revenue:   👉 Signal: PredictLeads, Common Room, RB2B, Warmly 👉 Research: Origami, Firecrawl, Exa, Perplexity, Browserbase, Apify 👉 Data and enrichment: LeadMagic, Apollo, Clay 👉 Orchestration, the brain: Clay, n8n 👉 Outbound: Lemlist, Instantly, Smartlead 👉 CRM: HubSpot, Attio, Salesforce 👉 Infrastructure: Supabase, Pinecone, Airtable, GitHub, Vercel 👉 Comms: Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Figma 👉 Revenue: point Claude at your pipeline and ask what closed   The signal layer mostly has no MCP yet. Until it ships, you bridge that step with n8n or an Apify workflow. Everything else, Claude runs on its own.   We have been wiring GTM into one system cross 100+ AI tool companies. The engine runs 200+ plays from signal to revenue.   Buying the tools is easy. Wiring the MCP-ready ones into one engine you can talk to is the real work.   Which layer would you wire up first?

50,000+ Actors in Apify Store, with the community pushing for tens of thousands more. The Actor ideas page is where those ideas live: SaaS API wrappers, MCP servers, scrapers for platforms that don't have one yet. And now you can upvote the ones you want built most 🙋♂️ Head there and upvote your favorites. The most-wanted get built first. Link in comments 👇

A funded ad account with zero UGC is a signal hiding in plain sight. Emil Jørgensen built a custom Apify pull of the Meta ad library to find exactly that: 889 DTC brands running ads with zero UGC to show for it. That gap sells itself. Steal the filter, not just the list 👇

I pay for 24 GTM tools and only open about 3 of them. Claude Code runs the rest. I run client outbound through Claude Code every day. This is the full stack we plug into it, with what each tool actually does in practice: 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 + 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 Clay: Claude calls Clay functions directly. There's a CLI now too, which changes everything. Prospeo.io: people search + verified emails. The raw API gets you past the MCP's 25-per-page cap when you need to crawl a full ICP. BlitzAPI: decision-makers from a list of company domains. My go-to when targeting is company-first (SMB owner hunts). AI Ark: B2B contact database for sourcing at scale. DiscoLike: lookalike companies from seed domains. Mapped a 5,000-company universe from one seed customer. Apify: custom scrapers. Pulled the Meta ad library to find 889 DTC brands running ads with zero UGC. Parallel Web Systems: entity + ICP discovery at scale. Its people search didn't survive my testing (0 of 40 matched the companies I fed it) - the discovery side did. Exa: AI web search for research steps. Serper: Google search API. Name to website, SERP data, maps, reviews. Deepline: 93+ GTM integrations inside Claude from one connection. Enrichment & validation BetterContact: our #1 mobile phone enrichment provider, always returning validated numbers by default. Icypeas: email finding + verification, the waterfall layer for whatever the first pass misses. TryKitt.ai + LeadMagic + MillionVerifier: the validation waterfall. Every list gets verified before it touches an inbox. Context.dev (YC S26): brand + company data. Jungler.ai: fetching LinkedIn engagement and monitors competitors automatically. 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 Smartlead: main sender. Claude builds entire draft campaigns via API. lemlist: the MCP flaked, so Claude drives the JSON-RPC endpoint directly with an API key. Works better than the official route. HeyReach: LinkedIn sequences that mirror the email campaigns. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐒 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭 Clarify: CRM. The pipeline lives here. GitHub: the team brain. Every client's context lives in a repo Claude reads before it touches anything. Supabase: the lead database. Send lists, suppressions, client tables. Notion: client-facing docs. Claude patches pages block-by-block via the raw API. Slack: where finished work ships to clients. OpenRouter: model routing for everything that isn't Claude. The UI is becoming optional.

My agent is now paying for its own data. No API key. No account. No credit card. Check the video I recorded: This uses the x402 open protocol built by Coinbase, along with a simple skill. This is an open protocol governed by the Linux Foundation. To complete a goal, an agent can now search for an actor on the Apify Store, pay for it, and use it without any human intervention. The way it works is pretty simple: 1. Your agent finds an Actor it wants to use 2. It sends a request 3. The Actor sends back an HTTP 402 "Payment Required" response 4. Agent authorizes payment from a wallet in USDC on Base 5. The Actor runs 6. User receives the result The model is pay-as-you-go: the agent authorizes a spending ceiling, pays only for usage, and the remaining balance is automatically settled. This brings an entire marketplace of AI tools into the agentic economy. Here is the skill you need. Add it to your agent, and it will take care of everything for you: apify.it/4wgIXMO If you want to know how this works, including what you can do with $1, read this post: https://apify.it/4xVkQVs Thanks to the Apify team for partnering with me on this post.
