Our biggest Corporate Campus Challenge to date has reached its finale, but for some of these ideas, the journey might only just be beginning. ⚡ This summer, 100 participants came together to work on real challenges from companies, supported by 24 mentors, 11 coaches and 7 shadow coaches throughout the journey. For the first time, all 20 teams also presented their prototypes at dedicated demo stands, giving our mentors, coaches, NXTGN corporate partners and guests the chance to experience the ideas up close before the final pitches. Six teams made it to the final stage, and the level of the pitches made the decision incredibly close. Team NEXTGEN Stimme took first place with their solution for Stimme Mediengruppe, earning direct admission to AI Start and a six-month residency at Campus Founders GRAVITY 👏 Team SABER, working on process improvements for Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG, was recognized for its consistently strong performance throughout the challenge. A special thank you also goes to our jury, bringing together perspectives from academia, a former challenge provider, the startup ecosystem and Campus Founders, as well as our academic partners TUM Campus Heilbronn , Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik and European-University Viadrina. And while the finals mark the end of this CCC edition, some of the ideas developed by the teams could continue beyond the challenge through future collaborations and potential implementation together with the companies. Jede dieser Universitäten bringt eigene Schwerpunkte mit: 🔬 Universität Tübingen – Exzellenzuniversität mit sechs Exzellenzclustern, dem KI-Kompetenzzentrum Tübingen AI Center und Standort des Cyber Valley, Europas größtem Forschungskonsortium im Bereich KI. ⚙️ Universität Freiburg – Interdisziplinäre Forschungsstärke u.a. in den Bereichen Life Sciences und Nachhaltigkeit, zwei Exzellenzcluster, Beteiligung am Innovationscampus Nachhaltigkeit und Top-5 der patentstärksten Universitäten Deutschlands. 🌱 Universität Hohenheim – einzigartiges Profil in Bioökonomie und Agri-Food, Beteiligung an mehreren Exzellenzclustern sowie Top-3 im Gründungsradar 2025 (mittelgroße Universitäten). 💡 Es war ein besonderer NXTGN Member Roundtable: Zunächst durften wir selbst Einblicke geben, wie Innovationsformate bei NXTGN aussehen und funktionieren. Im Anschluss ging es dann zum Finale der Corporate Campus Challenge (CCC) der Campus Founders – einem Format, bei dem interdisziplinäre Studierendenteams reale Herausforderungen von Unternehmenspartnern bearbeiten, so als wären sie selbst ein Startup. Das bleibt hängen: ➡️ Hackathons gelten schnell als reines „Startup-Format" – zu Unrecht. Mit begrenzten Ressourcen, klarem Fokus und echtem Zeitdruck entstehen dabei Lösungsansätze für reale Unternehmensherausforderungen, die im normalen Tagesgeschäft oft Monate brauchen würden. ➡️ Rund 100 Teilnehmende haben den finalen Pitches der CCC gelauscht. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns dabei die Energie und Motivation der jungen Teams, die etwas vorantreiben wollen. Genau dafür stehen auch wir von NXTGN ein! ➡️ Nicht zuletzt bietet die CCC die perfekte Möglichkeit, Studierende in ihrer Kreativität und ihrem Schaffen kennenzulernen und sie im Anschluss als Werkstudierende, Praktikant:innen oder nach dem Studium fest ins Unternehmen zu integrieren. Ein echter Mehrwert für die Talentakquise. A warm welcome to our newest Campus Founders alumni from AI Founders and Accelerator Batch 🎓 Following Demo Day, we came together for the first graduation of this batch and officially welcomed our newest members to the Campus Founders alumni community. 🙌 The day gave founders space to pause, reflect and appreciate how far they had come. One startup, a whole ecosystem behind it. This is exactly what an innovation location looks like, and we're proud reo is being built here as one of our Venture Studio startups. Was haben leere Shampooflaschen mit dem Wandel vom klassischen Industrie- zum Wissensstandort Heilbronn und unserem Innovationsökosystem zu tun? Ziemlich viel. Denn jährlich werden 400 Millionen Shampooflaschen weggeschmissen: Das bedeutet enorm viel Müll und enorm wenig Nachhaltigkeit. Die Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft nachhaltiger zu gestalten ist eine gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgabe, Recycling und Kreislaufwirtschaft sind konkret in Heilbronn eine eigene Kategorie im Projekt European Green Capital 2027. Das System zu verändern ist grundsätzlich keine “Kann”, sondern eine “Muss” Aufgabe. Denn ab 2030 gilt in der EU eine neue Verordnung, die European Waste Regulation. Also braucht es innovative Lösungen und eine davon kommt aus Heilbronn.🙌🏼 Diesen Wegwerf-Kreislauf zu durchbrechen, hat sich Gründerin Steffanie Rainer mit ihrem Start-up reo und ihrem Team zur Aufgabe gemacht. Das von den Campus Founders geförderte Start-up ist im Gravity-Gebäude auf dem Bildungscampus zuhause und zeigte dort beim Kick-off vergangene Woche wie es besser gehen soll: Shampoo und Kosmetikflaschen kommen nicht mehr in den Müll, sondern in den Pfandautomat im Supermarkt - derselbe, in den eigentlich leere Getränkeflaschen kommen. “Den lila Kreis”, nennt Steffanie Rainer das. So will sie sicherstellen, dass Plastikverpackungen wiederverwendet werden, mit so wenig Aufwand und Umstellung für Unternehmen und Konsumenten. Doch das schaffen sie und ihr Team nicht allein. Im Marketingbereich arbeitet das Start-up mit Studierenden von der TUM Campus Heilbronn zusammen, erarbeitet seine Ökobilanz gemeinsam mit dem Fraunhofer IRB und steht mit der DHBW Heilbronn und dem Ferdinand-Steinbeis-Institut im Austausch, um gemeinsame Synergien zu identifizieren. Für uns als Wissensstadt Heilbronn zeigt dieses Beispiel das, was den Innovationsstandort Heilbronn ausmacht: Die Stärke der unterschiedlichen Institutionen zu verknüpfen, um konkrete Lösungen für relevante Probleme zu erarbeiten und Ideen von der Theorie in die Praxis zu bringen und so die Gesellschaft voranzubringen.👐🏼

PHONT Studio is live. A plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro that brings expressive, animated subtitles directly into the workflow creators already use. 200+ creators have been with us in the closed beta. Two weeks ago I shared our biggest fail so far: building the wrong product for the wrong workflow. We iterated, interviewed dozens of creators, and rebuilt it as a Premiere plugin. Same idea, different surface. A plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro that brings expressive subtitles into the workflow creators already use. Biggest lesson from the last few months: stop asking creators to leave their tools. Meet them where they edit. Sounds obvious in hindsight. Wasn't obvious when we started. Zaeem Zeeshan led the product development, Md Sajjad Hossain the backend owned the build and Ramon G. got us through code signing, If you're a creator, editor, or agency, try it. We are currently in Beta, the first three months free for anyone who registers in the next days. Ich wurde ausgewählt als einer der 30u30 Recruiting Rebels von @Stepstone Deutschland. 🇩🇪 Die 30u30 Recruiting Rebels Nachwuchsinitiative von @Stepstone Deutschland macht junge Leute sichtbar, die Recruiting anders angehen. Für mich heißt das: Ich darf Teil einer Community sein, die Recruiting neu denkt. Ich liebe es Dinge im Recruiting anders anzugehen, aktiv zu gestalten und genau das wird hier gemacht.
