Team spirit in action: Sports events in Siegen and Siegen-Wittgenstein 🏃♂️🚴♀️ When you share a strong team spirit during the workday, it naturally carries over into everything else. Whether that’s on the running track, along cycling routes, or right in the heart of our local community. Over the past few weeks, our team has proved exactly that by taking part in three fantastic regional events across the Siegen and Wittgenstein areas: 👟 Firmenlauf Siegen: Around 30 EEW team members took on the course, proving that our teamwork is just as strong on the track as it is in production. 🚴♂️ Stadtradeln Erndtebrück: 12 dedicated riders pedaled a combined total of 5,000 kilometers to promote health and climate-friendly mobility. Their joint effort landed Team EEW 3rd place overall in Erndtebrück. 🤸♀️ Rudelturnen in Birkelbach: Beyond participating, we engaged with our local community at our EEW booth, sharing career and apprenticeship opportunities with sports enthusiasts from across the region. 🚶♀️ EEW Schritt-Challenge: Connecting our sites in Erndtebrück and Rostock through daily movement, our team surpassed our total step goal by over 300 kilometers. In a friendly match-up, our Erndtebrück team averaged over 255,000 steps per participant, with Rostock following closely behind at over 246,000 steps! Promoting spaces that encourage health, movement, and true togetherness is part of our commitment to our people. And seeing the team embrace it with so much enthusiasm makes it all worthwhile. Thank you to everyone who participated and cheered the EEW team so warmly. We’re already looking forward to the next challenge! 💪

Shaping Australia’s Energy Future: The EEW Group at the Australia Wind Energy 2026 🇦🇺 The AuWE 2026 in Melbourne highlighted the growth and genuine commitment that characterize the offshore wind sector in the Southern Hemisphere. By attending in person, we were able to move beyond mere ambitions and focus on the practical and collaborative steps required to build a sustainable offshore wind sector from the ground up. With the ambitious targets set, the road ahead requires strong alignment across the entire value chain. A central talking point throughout the event was the highly anticipated upcoming Offshore Wind Auction in Australia. We share the industry's collective hope for a positive and decisive result, which will provide the market predictability needed to successfully kickstart and scale offshore wind across the country. To support this next chapter, we are eager to bring a foundation built on decades of experience. The discussions in Melbourne reinforced how valuable these global insights will be as we work together to establish a high-quality local sector. A great first-hand experience for the EEW Team at Dillinger 🤝 As part of our ongoing celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the EEW Group, we want to create meaningful experiences that bring our colleagues closer together. Our goal is to offer unique opportunities to step outside our daily routines, connect across departments, and gain a deeper and personal understanding of the different stages of our production process. With this in mind, we organized a special activity that connects our team directly to the very beginning of our value chain, alongside our long-standing partner: Dillinger. A diverse group of colleagues from various departments set off for Saarland to visit Dillinger and see for themselves where the heavy plates we use for our foundations begin their journey. Once there, we were welcomed with a clear explanation of the steel-making process and how Dillinger produces plates to meet customer-specific requirements. 👷 👷♀️ From there, we started a fascinating two-hour tour across the extensive production site. We watched raw steel being produced in the steelworks from pig iron manufactured on-site in the blast furnaces and then saw how those slabs are processed into heavy plates in the rolling mill. During the tour, we also caught a glimpse of the massive transformation construction site in Dillinger, which is part of the Project “Power4Steel” – one of the largest decarbonization projects in Europe - where new facilities for CO2 reduced steel production are being built to start operations in 2029. To round off an incredibly day, we wrapped up the evening with a great barbecue at the Dillinger guest house. A huge thank you to the team at Dillinger for hosting us so warmly, sharing your incredible expertise and being such a vital partner in our 90-year journey. 🙌

Strategic Partnership for the 3.2GW Jindo Offshore Wind Cluster and Gwangyang Bay Supply Chain Development 🌊 ⚡ EEW KHPC has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pacifico Energy Korea, KMC Line, and CS Energy in Gwangyang, South Korea. This strategic collaboration was established to develop and strengthen a robust local supply chain dedicated to the 3.2GW Jindo Offshore Wind Project, marking a significant step forward for the regional renewable energy sector. As a specialized supplier of offshore wind foundations, EEW KHPC will contribute its manufacturing expertise to the partnership, focusing on the production and supply of essential substructures, including monopiles, pin piles, and jacket components. Reflecting on the significance of this alliance, Deok-Han Kim, Managing Director of EEW KHPC, noted that the partnership serves as an important foundation for fostering the offshore wind power industry within the Jeonnam and Gwangju regions. The collaboration is intended to drive mutual growth alongside established industry partners in the Gwangyang Bay area, while simultaneously contributing to the local economy and supporting South Korea’s broader transition toward carbon neutrality. We thank all participating partners for their collaboration and dedication to bringing this project to life. 🤝

A Strong Start to Our Partnership with Gasunie 🤝 🏗️ We welcomed representatives from Gasunie to our facility in Erndtebrück. Following the framework agreement we signed in December, this visit served as the kickoff for our first booked mini-tender. For both companies, the meeting focused less on formal processes and more on laying the foundations for cooperation, agreeing on technical details and exchanging expertise. Representatives from Gasunie's Procurement, Inspection, Contract Management, and Sustainability teams were part of the delegation. With many sub-projects and larger-scale tenders on the horizon, this initial phase is highly strategic. Furthermore, sustainability will continue to play a central and decisive role in how these future contracts are awarded. We are delighted to have our teams aligned and look forward to a successful cooperation on the upcoming phases of this project.

The achievement of our contractual key dates as well as the first loadout of our monopiles for the Nordlicht 1 offshore wind project are a great milestone for us, but what made it special was taking a moment to stop, look at what we've built and celebrate it together with our partner Vattenfall. We were delighted to welcome Vattenfall’s upper management to our Rostock site: Cyril Moss, Silke Schicht, Manuel Fischer, Rene Schuster; alongside part of the project’s team: Oliver Heyen and Alexander Wendlandt. A firsthand look at our logistics and capabilities We started with a quick turnaround and went straight to the quayside. Our teams walked to the site together, diving into the technical details of our loading operations and discussing the logistical milestones ahead. We capped off the tour with the signing of one of our first manufactured monopiles and captured a team picture right in front of the massive crane that will power this deployment. Key facts of the Nordlicht 1 loadout campaign 🏗️ A total of 68 Monopiles will be loaded The entire loadout campaign is anticipated to be completed by the end of September this year 🚢 4 DEME barges are assigned to this project, transporting 3 MPs during each transit 🌊 Right after the completion of this loading, EEW SPC will begin with the production of 44 Monopiles for Nordlicht II project To close the day, we moved from the docks to the grills. We joined a barbecue generously sponsored by Vattenfall for the whole company, a perfect way to thank every single person who put their hard work into this project. EEW Group is expanding South Korean plant: New monopile capacities for growing demand in Southeast Asia 🌊 To meet the growing demand for offshore wind foundations in Southeast Asia and further expand its capacities, the EEW Group is expanding its South Korean plant, EEW KHPC, in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do Province. The production site is already specialized in the manufacture of foundation components with unit weights of up to 900 tons. From the second half of 2027, the facility will be capable of manufacturing monopiles, pin piles, jacket components and legs with diameters of up to 13 meters, unit weights of 2,500 tons and lengths of up to 120 meters. With this expansion, up to 200,000 tons of steel can be processed into LSAW pipes in the future. This will increase EEW KHPC’s production capacity from around 60,000 tons per year to more than 200,000 tons annually. In this way, the EEW Group is positioning itself for the future as a supplier for major offshore projects. "The development of the offshore wind industry in Southeast Asia will gain immense momentum over the next few years. With the expansion of EEW KHPC, we are responding early to growing market demands," say the two Managing Directors of EEW KHPC, Deok-Han Kim and Dr. Kwan-Gyu (Alex) Tak. To support this major expansion, the EEW Group has acquired additional production halls and adjacent land in the immediate vicinity of the existing site. This will more than double the available production area. In addition, the storage area at the port will be expanded, allowing the site to make full use of its direct port access as production capacity increases. The expansion will also create around 200 new skilled jobs, further strengthening employment opportunities in the region. Together with its sister plant, EEW SPC in Rostock (Germany), the corporate group has nearly 20 years of experience manufacturing offshore wind components. With this investment decision EEW Group strengthens its position as one of the leading manufacturers for offshore wind foundations. “We can draw on many years of experience in the European offshore wind market. Furthermore, the local colleagues at EEW KHPC are very experienced in the manufacturing of large diameter foundation components. Thus, we have the best basis for a fast and smooth expansion process without affecting ongoing production," says Christoph Schorge, Managing Director of the EEW Group.

To date, we have produced more than 2,500 monopiles and pipe components for more than 500 jacket foundations and around 50 substations, supporting a total of 66 offshore wind projects around the world. EEW Group Participates in High-Level Economic Dialogue with the European Commission in Brussels 🙌💭 Selected representatives from the business community, small and medium-sized enterprises and the skilled trades had the opportunity to engage in discussions with high-ranking representatives of the European Commission and the North Rhine-Westphalia state government in Brussels. Managing Director Markus Völkel represented the EEW Group at this meeting. Because the European Commission proposes legislation that applies across all EU Member States, its decisions directly shape the legal and economic framework within which businesses operate in Europe. For the EEW Group, the promotion and strategic expansion of renewable energy remain particularly relevant issues. The discussion with Stéphane Séjourné, the European Commission’s Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, was attended by Minister-President Hendrik Wüst, Minister for Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur, and Minister for European Affairs Nathanael Liminski, alongside several senior executives from major companies and business associations in North Rhine-Westphalia. The meeting provided a valuable platform for strategic discussion and networking at the highest level. The focus centered on Europe’s long-term competitiveness, current macroeconomic challenges, an innovation-friendly regulatory framework, and the future of Germany as an industrial hub. For us, this dialogue served as a vital opportunity to emphasize the importance of a stable, reliable regulatory framework, particularly for the advancement of the offshore wind industry. 👏
