♨️ Can data center heat become a valuable energy resource? 🌱 As digital infrastructure continues to grow, improving energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important. Immersion cooling is helping unlock new opportunities - not only for efficient server cooling, but also for the reuse of waste heat. Together with BitHeat (Lindner Group), as part of the BiGreen project and the European 8ra initiative, innovative concepts are being implemented that connect IT infrastructure with building energy systems. One example is the deployment at mk | hotel passau, where waste heat from IT operations is utilized for building applications. At Evonik, we contribute to this approach with VISCOBASE® 11-152, our advanced ester-based immersion cooling fluid designed for high-performance IT environments. 50 Jahre Si 69®! 🎉 Die Entwicklung begann 1969 mit einer klaren Herausforderung: ein Verstärkungsadditiv zu finden, das Kautschuk und Kieselsäure besser verbindet. 🔬 Nach über 100 getesteten Verbindungen brachte schließlich die Nummer 69 den Durchbruch. 1971 wurde Si 69® erstmals im Labor in Hanau-Wolfgang[PG1.1] synthetisiert. 50 Years of Si 69®! 🎉 The development journey began in 1969 with a clear challenge: to find a reinforcing additive that could create a stronger bond between rubber and silica. 🔬 After testing more than 100 compounds, it was ultimately compound number 69 that delivered the breakthrough. In 1971, Si 69® was synthesized for the first time in the laboratory in Hanau.
