Prototyping Friday: It's getting hot in the labs, and the weather isn't causing it! ⚡ We're big fans of Duolingo and how they leverage haptic feedback to keep users hooked. But what makes it so powerful? Lasting impact: Haptic feedback helps to build a deeper emotional connection, anchoring digital rewards in the brain and makes achievements feel more immersive and tangible. Speed of perception: Our brains process tactile stimuli faster than visual or auditory cues. We feel the task success before we can see or hear it. Engagement multiplier: Haptics adds to increased session duration of over 15% on average. In the context of social media it can significantly increase user engagement eg. likes (+25%), comments (+47%) and shares (+66%). Great haptic design isn't just a buzz. When matching vision, motion and sound it adds a true value and will 'level up' the experience! The setup: 3D printed DUO + VC Actuator + Hapticlabs Satellite & Studio -> No-code, plug & play within a couple of minutes. Get in touch if you want to make your product buzz! #PrototypingFriday #Haptics #Hapticlabs #UXDesign #Gamification #3DPrinting #MakerCommunity #StartupLife #Interaction

Haptic design guidelines are out! 🙌 I got into haptics with the goal of making the field more accessible for designers. Fast forward a few years and I couldn't be more honoured to share that I partnered with Microsoft Design to continue on this exact pathway: Creating design guidelines to further democratise haptics! We crafted many application samples, collected essential info to get started and also introduced a new visual language that intuitively explains tactile parameters and patterns. Visit the guidelines below and make sure to feel advanced haptics on your Surface Laptop, Logitech MX 4 or Pen in Windows 11 🙌 A huge thank you to Microsoft Design and especially Gnyanesh Gandhe for trusting me and the Hapticlabs.io team with this one. This result would not have been possible without your continuous dedication to push haptics forward! https://lnkd.in/eqPVQdtq

So cool to see advanced haptics now shipping in #Windows11, helping make interactions feel more responsive and intuitive through haptic feedback! I've had the pleasure of working on this experience from the initial concept through design, development, and launch. Thanks to the many folks across Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Surface, and Logitech who helped make it happen! Special shoutout to Microsoft Design and Hapticlabs.io for their partnership in developing the design guidelines we recently published: https://lnkd.in/g-mQ_jNV
Design isn’t only something you see. With advanced haptics in Windows 11, touch becomes part of the experience, giving people physical feedback that can support clarity, confidence and accessibility 👉📱 Learn about the value of haptics and how the technology has evolved from game controllers and tactile alerts into a meaningful layer of interaction design in this story from Tracy Jones ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eD3BPsNq Microsoft Surface Logitech

Hightech startups, industry leaders and policymakers in one room. Thank you to launchhub42 | The ComTech Incubator and the Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt for the inspiring event and making it happen! #DemoDays #SecureAndConnected #HightechAgenda #HTAD #BMFTRDemoDays
𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱. 🔌 The Hightech Agenda sets the vision. These five #launchhub42 startups build the networks, robots and systems it actually runs on, turning the agenda from paper into product. Here's how each one delivers on it: 🚁 Soron Systems: autonomous drone and robot swarms that navigate without GPS. Infrastructure that stays resilient even when the signal drops. 🤖 Olive Robotics: embedded physical AI for robots. Applied AI and robotics are one of the agenda's core bets — and a field where Europe needs its own players. 🧠 SMAROBIX: explainable, robot-in-the-loop AI for engineers. Trustworthy AI that industry can actually deploy, not just admire in a demo. 📳 Hapticlabs.io: no-code haptics for phones, cars and wearables. The next layer of human-machine interaction, built on European sensor tech. And a big thank-you to Dr. Markus Reichel, member of the Committee on Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation, for the visit and the great conversations, this is exactly the dialogue between policymakers and founders a Hightech Republic runs on. Swipe to meet all five startups, then catch our founders live at Demo Days. Tomorrow is your last chance. It’s time to give haptics a place in the classroom!🧑🏫 Working closely with students, researchers, and university labs has always been at the heart of what we do. To support the next generation of haptic designers, we bundled our tools into a new Classroom Kit allowing them to spend less time making it work and more time actually designing haptic experiences! The kit equips classes of 15-30 students to build tangible prototypes. Paired with our software, it is everything you need to build and explore haptics interactions in no time. What have students already build with the kit? ✅ Smart textiles that help you navigate ✅ Bike handles that provide critical haptic cues ✅ Apps using haptic signals for improved accessibility ✅ Immersive multimodal interactions using visuals, sound, and haptics Are you ready to introduce haptics into your design or engineering course? Reach out for more info! No haptics expertise within your University yet? We also offer workshops to get you and your students started. Reach out at info@hapticlabs.com for any requests. A big thank you to our many collaboration partners such as University of Washington, University of Toronto, Delft University of Technology, Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal who encouraged us to build this. Their students are already creating the next generation of tangible interfaces! #education #haptics #university #practice #classroom

Last week the ACM #CHI2026 took place, the world's leading conference on Human-Computer Interaction. Every year this event brings together researchers and practitioners who explore how humans and technology will interact in the future 🔥 Thomas Müller and Dennis Wittchen from the Hapticlabs team co-organized the workshop "AI for Haptics and Haptics for AI" together with a fantastic group of researchers. Having that many brilliant people in one room, sparked many inspiring discussions!💡 Some of the key takeways: - Suitable datasets are missing to teach machines the concept of touch and results often fall short. Haptic experiences are especially demanding as they are multi-modal and highly context dependant. - At the same time haptics offer a unique opportunity to help AI engage with the physical world and users to engage with AI. Is text the best modality to interact with agents? - Questions remain about how AI will shape the future of haptic UX design. How might AI assist designers creating more intuitive tangible experiences? - Since haptic feedback is deeply personal and private, a miss-use is highly concerning for HMI applications. How might we set guardrails for haptic interaction? For us at Hapticlabs, the focus is clear: adding meaningful value to the design process. New users often face a blank canvas, and high-quality haptic samples are hard to find. That is why we integrated a text-to-haptics functionality, giving designers a starting point to build upon and speeding up the creative process. Excited to continue our collaboration in democratizing haptic technology 🤝 A special thanks to Easa AliAbbasi, Dennis Wittchen, Donald Degraen and Paul Strohmeier for the heavy lifting and planning!🙌 #Haptics #CHI2026 #HCI #AI #Hapticlabs

Designers are experts for UX, but have to spend hours in code or a loooong back-and-forth with engineers to actually feel and test custom haptics. And AI can’t really change that as it can’t “feel” the buzz. That’s where the real power of no-code applications comes in: what would’ve taken hours is now down to 10 minutes. We've turned haptic prototyping into a visual, real-time process. No compilation, no code, just design what you want to feel and test it instantly on your device. Prototyping is about exploration, testing and thus requires quick iterations. Our visual editor delivers exactly this. Try it out at hapticlabs.io 🚀 #haptics #hapticlabs #UXdesign #prototyping

Last week we joined Deutsche Telekom at 4YFN in Barcelona. It was truly special to show our technology and demos to visitors from over 25 different nationalities! Seeing people feel the real capabilities of haptics for the first time never gets old, take a closer look at the reactions below! 🙌 A very special moment was the visit from Deutsche Telekom CEO Tim Höttges, together with SVP Michael Hagspihl and MD Rodrigo Diehl. They tried our demo of a tangible soccer stream and summed it up as: "This is amazing!" 🚀 None of this would have happened without the incredible support of hubraum, Deutsche Telekom and launchhub42 | The ComTech Incubator. Within a matter of weeks, we turned an idea into a tangible demo validated by hundreds of hands. Thank you for enabling this journey! Stay tuned for more to come! ⚽️ 👈 Riccardo Pascotto Tim Akgül Jerzy Grzesiak Constanze Kettlitz-Profe Verena Dillenburg Roman Duzhyk Florian Sägebrecht #HapticLabs #4YFN #MWC #Haptics #DeutscheTelekom #hubraum #StartupLife #MobileWorldCongress #Soccer Images were kindly provided by Deutsche Telekom (© Norbert Ittermann)
