What does “Wound Balance” really mean in practice? In this podcast episode of Wound Care Insights, Prof. Karen Ousey is joined by US-based wound care experts Dr. Laura Swoboda, Dr. Alton Johnson and Dr. Trent Brookshier to explore what a holistic approach to wound care can look like in everyday practice. From managing the wound microenvironment to addressing comorbidities, social determinants of health and system-level barriers, the discussion highlights how healing goes far beyond the dressing. One key takeaway: early recognition and practical frameworks such as BIOMES can support earlier referral and more coordinated care.

👕🦠 Workwear is more than a dress code Medical workwear can contribute to the spread of pathogens – making it an often underestimated risk factor for patient safety. Scientific studies show that pockets and long sleeves in particular are frequently contaminated with pathogenic germs. In addition to proper hand hygiene, measures such as “bare below the elbow” and consistent textile hygiene can help break chains of infection. 📊 Our poster summarizes the key findings in a clear and concise way. 👉 Learn more and rethink patient safety. 🔗 Poster & background information: https://lnkd.in/gVCDXs7T
