The transition to climate-neutral transportation will not be delivered by vehicles alone. Charging infrastructure, vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, and fleet solutions must advance together. Today, we are announcing the first five Main Stage speakers for the IAA Conference 2026: • Wolfgang Ademmer, Chief Marketing Officer, Alpitronic • Antoine Duclaux, President, Renault Trucks • Martin Fischer, Chief Executive Officer, FORVIA • Arnd Franz, Chief Executive Officer, MAHLE • Dr. Petra Sundström♦️, Managing Director, TRATON Charging Solutions Together, they represent key parts of the transportation value chain, from high-power charging and commercial vehicle manufacturing to automotive technology, thermal management, and fleet charging services. At the IAA Conference, these perspectives converge around the industry’s defining challenges: scaling zero-emission transportation, expanding the necessary infrastructure, unlocking the potential of software and AI, and creating resilient and competitive transportation systems. Across three stages, more than 100 sessions and over 200 thought leaders will connect strategic debate with technical expertise and B2B networking. Because climate-neutral transportation will only scale when the industry delivers as an ecosystem. WE DELIVER. Want to hear these industry leaders live on stage? Heavy-duty vehicles account for around 30 percent of road transport CO₂ emissions in Europe. Decarbonizing this sector is therefore one of the most important levers for achieving climate-neutral logistics. The industry is ready to take the next steps. And when it comes to bringing climate-friendly and digital transport solutions onto the road, our message is clear: We deliver. Manufacturers including Daimler Truck AG, MAN Truck & Bus SE, Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks and many more already offer battery-electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles designed for real-world transport operations, with ranges of up to 600 kilometers. Our latest graphic illustrates exactly how far these vehicles can travel without a single charging or refueling stop respectively. At 600 kilometers, these trucks can easily cover massive transit routes directly across Germany, the heart of European logistics, entirely emission-free. The message is clear: Sustainable commercial vehicles are highly competitive and ready for international logistics operations right now. But to fully unlock this potential, the political and physical infrastructure must catch up. Three areas are particularly important: Infrastructure: A reliable, publicly accessible network of charging stations and hydrogen refueling facilities designed specifically for heavy-duty vehicles. Technology neutrality: A long-term regulatory framework for renewable energy that extends beyond 2030 and provides planning certainty through 2050. Economic viability: Effective market incentives, including the introduction of the EU Emissions Trading System 2 and a standardized, CO₂-based road toll across Europe. The transformation of road freight transport is already underway. At IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, manufacturers, logistics providers, policymakers, energy companies and infrastructure providers will come together to accelerate this transformation. The industry develops the solutions. We deliver the platform that brings them together. IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 September 15–20, Hannover Secure your ticket now: https://lnkd.in/dD84tZxw
