The TOC Worldwide in Hamburg once again showed: The future of logistics will be shaped by those who take action - not by those who wait. Three days of intense conversations with true doers in the industry made that very clear. While much of the market is still characterized by hesitation, this is where you meet the people who take ownership and actually drive topics forward. Beyond many valuable new connections, we’re taking away fresh perspectives and new impulses. It’s clear that the industry has enormous potential, it just needs the right people to unlock it. It was a plesure to connect and we’re excited to see what exceptional things grow from these conversations. #TOCEUROPE #RailSync

Do you like to work 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 the information you need? We don’t think anybody would. It’s stressful and unreliable. When we cannot properly prepare for tasks, constantly hoping that the initial plan will work and being forced to “work agile” within an inefficient workflow, it becomes not only frustrating but also exhausting. Unfortunately, this is exactly how some container terminals in the rail freight sector operate today. Pen and paper are still widely used and information is gathered via countless phone calls to everyone involved (often 5-7 different companies). It works, but not efficiently, and certainly not sustainably. What we need is 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, shared hours in advance with everyone who depends on it to do their job properly. Real-time data and clear communication don’t just reduce stress in the workplace; they also make the use of train slots and dwell times far more efficient for terminals, their customers, and everyone involved in the process. Planning becomes more reliable, and responding to changes becomes faster and easier. Take the shunting process as an 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: Two clicks in RailSync replace several phone calls and hours of waiting. Thanks to live information, shunters know exactly when a train arrives and when shunting can start, saving up to two hours per operation. With the same information, the train driver knows when their shift will start and when the train is ready for pickup - without waiting in the dark or making five phone calls beforehand. Let’s make the change together. Use RailSync

We know rail freight is under pressure right now - the tracks aren’t what they used to be. But infrastructure isn’t the only bottleneck. Disruptions emerge at handover points: between organizations, systems, and responsibilities. In practice, this rarely appears as a complete standstill. Instead, it shows up as delays, follow-up questions, and operational uncertainty. Coordination determines usability. Anyone who ignores this layer won’t achieve stability - even with perfect infrastructure. Let’s prepare for a brighter future and bring rail back on track to grow, with better transparency, faster processes and more freight on rail. Use RailSync

🚆“𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀” That’s a sentence we hear in almost every conversation with rail terminal operators. In reality, handling one single train often involves 7-9 people from up to 5 different companies - all needing to coordinate perfectly to manage arrivals, departures, shunting and handovers. 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀: - No reliable information on where the train currently is - Missing real-time train data - Manual, highly time-consuming documentation - Countless phone calls and e-mails Incorrect or outdated information - Low traceability and auditability of planned vs. actual execution - No live status updates for stakeholders - Shunting chaos, often caused by missing information - Lack of integration of trucking and drayage companies - Daily operations manageable only by skilled and/or experienced staff ...and much more On our daily planning view, all relevant information for every slot and train is shared in one place - 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. ✅ One tool ✅ One source of truth ✅ Full transparency along the rail freight chain RailSync turns bottlenecks into smooth, flowing processes. So efficient, in fact, that you suddenly expect more than just on-time trains. 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲: https://lnkd.in/eSzecC6r 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹. 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱.

We need to talk. The industry’s problem isn’t a lack of innovation. The problem is that we too rarely speak openly about where things fail in daily operations. Between ambition and execution, a gap emerges that can’t be closed with buzzwords, only with honesty. Let’s make a difference by committing to transparency and efficiency. Let’s talk to each other. Let’s stop gatekeeping what could make the entire process more frictionless. Let us make that change together. Use RailSync AI-generated content #AI #Rail

In many of the situations we see, all stakeholders are highly committed, yet they operate with different levels of information. Not by choice, but because existing systems often don’t allow everyone to access the same information at the same time. The result is rarely a complete standstill. Instead, it shows up as operational friction, avoidable coordination effort, and reduced efficiency. More coordination alone rarely resolves this. Shared and transparent information does. We help ensure that the right information reaches the people who need it, when they need it. Experience it for yourself Use RailSync AI-generated content #AI #Rail

🚆 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. In his recent interview with Port Technology International - PTI, Christoph Kappler shares why Europe’s intermodal rail operations still face unnecessary friction - and how RailSync is changing that. Today, many terminals, operators and shunting providers struggle with fragmented data and parallel systems that don’t talk to each other. This leads to late decisions, idle staff, operational stress and lost capacity. RailSync 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀. Christoph explains how RailSync: 🟩 bundles data from existing systems, 🟩️ synchronises processes across stakeholders, 🟩 improves workforce and resource planning and 🟩 drastically reduces waiting times. By creating a shared real-time information layer, RailSync connects systems interoperably, enabling teams to also work in familiar tools while it could run in the background. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 ✅ plan earlier, ✅ coordinate more reliably and ✅ increase the effective capacity of rail infrastructure ✅ 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 forcing anyone to change the tools they work with today. Christoph also shares his vision for what comes next: 🚀 machine‐learning‐based decision support, 🚀 voice-driven workflows on the move, and 🚀 long-term ➜ intelligent systems that autonomously coordinate key steps in rail operations. The message is clear: Digital transparency 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 “𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲”; it’s the fastest and most practical way to make rail freight more efficient, predictable and competitive. 📖 Curious to learn more about the future of connected rail operations? 👉 Read the full interview and dive deeper into Christoph’s insights. https://lnkd.in/dtPVuN8t

How do you steer a train with a steering wheel? You don´t. Rail logistics is often planned, but rarely truly controlled. The difference lies not in intent (we know how hard you’re working) but in access to reliable information. Anyone who only learns what happened after the fact cannot intervene proactively. True controllability emerges where data and responsibility come together. Let us help you connect the points of interaction and create a single source of truth.
