Did you know eurekantine.de operates fully unmanned corporate catering across 7 locations?! 👀 No cafeteria staff. No front-of-house workers. The entire operation — from container checkout to meal heating to returns — runs autonomously, 24/7. Since deployment, employees have borrowed over 70,000 containers and saved 6.5+ tons of CO₂ emissions. The system works because the infrastructure removes every manual touchpoint. Employees pre-order meals via app, pick up containers from digital dispensing systems, heat food in microwave towers, and return containers to automated return stations. Scan, heat, eat, return. No human intervention required. Most corporate catering assumes staff presence. Someone has to hand out containers, take returns, manage the flow. EureKantine proved that assumption wrong. When you build infrastructure that automates dispensing, integrates with pre-order systems, tracks containers via RFID, and handles returns digitally, you don't need staff to make reuse work. The platform coordinates it all. One detail that matters: employees can borrow containers without downloading the Vytal app. The system integrates directly into the pre-order interface, so there's no extra step, no second login, no friction. The fewer barriers between an employee and a reusable container, the higher the adoption rate. The result is 24/7 access, lower operating costs, 100% reusable packaging, and a system that scales without adding headcount. That's not a pilot testing whether unmanned catering can work. That's 70,000 containers proving it already does. If reuse infrastructure is on your 2026 roadmap, let's talk. Visit the link below. 👇 https://lnkd.in/erHRZzSk

You can't manage what you can't measure. Reuse infrastructure runs on data. Vytal Track is our RFID-based tracking system for reusable containers and cups. Every container gets a unique identifier. Every checkout, return, and movement through the system gets logged. Real-time visibility into where containers are, how long they've been out, and whether they're coming back. ✨ Why it matters: Operators need to know if containers are circulating or disappearing. Finance teams need proof that the system is working (return rates, usage data, waste diverted). Compliance teams need auditable records for sustainability reporting. Sponsors and stakeholders need transparent performance metrics. 💜 Vytal Track provides all of it: container-level tracking, return rate analytics, CO₂ savings calculations, and automated alerts when containers exceed expected borrow periods. The system integrates with Vytal.Ware (containers) and Vytal.Service (operations) to create a closed-loop infrastructure with full traceability. At Oracle Park, RFID tracking helped achieve an 88% return rate across 1 million+ cups per season. At University of Antwerp, it enabled 98% return rates with real-time visibility into container flow across campus. The data doesn't just prove the system works — it shows operators where to optimize. Reuse infrastructure without tracking is reuse infrastructure operating blind. Vytal.Track. Data that drives performance. If reuse infrastructure is on your 2026 roadmap, let's talk. A large campus festival ran completely waste-free—without deposits, cash, or extra friction for guests ♻️👇 At the University of Wuppertal’s Campus Summer Festival, food and drinks were served entirely in Vytal reusable containers. Guests returned them at dedicated return stations, and the entire event ran cashless and deposit-free. What makes this example especially interesting is that reusable systems are often associated with the daily canteen: a predictable environment with familiar routines. A summer festival is a different operational challenge. Volumes are higher, crowds are less structured, and everything happens at once. That’s why this event matters. It showed that reuse does not have to stay inside the cafeteria. With the right setup, it can scale naturally to large events without adding complexity for organizers or guests. The right event dishware, practical support for the canteen team, and clearly positioned return stations allowed the logistics to work quietly in the background. Most attendees probably did not think twice about the reuse system. They came for the food, music, and atmosphere. The system simply worked—which is exactly how good infrastructure should feel. That’s how reuse becomes the norm, not the exception. If you're planning a campus event, festival, or public gathering, we'd love to help you build a reuse system that fits naturally into the experience—so your guests remember the event, not the waste. https://lnkd.in/eameYzaf

The most expensive reusable cup isn't the one that gets scratched or eventually reaches the end of its life... It's the one that never comes back. Not because of the replacement cost, but because every missing container is usually a signal that something in the system created friction. Maybe return points weren't easy to find. Maybe guests weren't sure what to do. Maybe collection wasn't designed for peak demand. Whatever the reason, low return rates are rarely a product problem—they're usually a systems problem. That's one of the biggest lessons we've learned after supporting reuse programs across festivals, stadiums, universities, and cities. Successful reuse doesn't depend on asking people to care more. It depends on designing a system that's intuitive enough that returning a cup feels like the obvious next step. When that happens, higher return rates become the natural outcome of good operational design. That's why, for us, every returned cup is more than a container. It's proof that the system worked. One thing we've learned after thousands of reuse deployments is that people don't return cups because they're environmentally conscious (although we’d love to think so). They return them because the system makes it easy. That might sound surprising, but it's one of the biggest lessons we've seen across stadiums, festivals, campuses, and corporate dining. When return points are easy to find, people use them. When the process is intuitive, people don't need instructions. When returning a cup takes just a few seconds, it becomes part of the experience instead of an extra task. The opposite is true, too. If guests have to search for a return point, carry a cup across a venue, or wonder what they're supposed to do next, return rates suffer—not because people don't care, but because the system created friction. That's why successful reuse programs are designed around human behavior rather than asking people to change it. It's easy to think of reuse as a packaging challenge. In reality, it's often a design challenge. The best systems don't rely on perfect habits. They make the right behavior the easiest behavior. This month, more than 170 million people across 190 countries are taking part in Plastic Free July, choosing to refuse single-use plastic one item at a time. Whether it's carrying a reusable bottle, bringing your own coffee cup, or skipping unnecessary packaging, every small decision sends the same message: people want a world with less waste. That's a powerful thing to see. It also raises an important question. How do we make those choices easier—not just in July, but every day of the year? Anyone who's taken part in Plastic Free July knows the reality. Some days you remember your reusable bottle. Other days you're traveling, grabbing a coffee between meetings, or ordering food at a festival. The intention is still there. The environment just isn't always designed to support it. That's where infrastructure changes the equation. When the reusable option becomes the default rather than the exception, choosing reuse stops being an extra decision. At a stadium where every drink is served in a reusable cup, or on a campus where return points are built into the experience, people don't have to go out of their way to do the right thing. The system already makes it easy. That's the shift we believe matters most. Plastic Free July shows us what's possible when millions of people choose differently. The next step is designing places where those choices no longer depend on remembering, planning ahead, or swimming against the current. To everyone taking part this month: thank you. The habits you build matter. Our job is to help build the systems that make those habits effortless the other eleven months of the year. If reuse infrastructure is on your 2026 roadmap, let's talk. One of the biggest reasons event organizers still choose single-use isn't cost, it's complexity. Most already know they should be thinking about reuse. The real challenge is everything that comes with it: sourcing thousands of cups, organizing delivery and collection, coordinating washing, finding storage, and making sure it all runs smoothly on event day. It can feel like adding an entire new operation to an already busy event. That's exactly the gap the Vytal Summer Cup closes: our 0.5L reusable cup, built specifically for events. Instead of asking organizers to build a reuse setup themselves, we bring one that's ready to go. We provide the cups, deliver them on time, collect everything after the event, and take care of certified washing, so your team can stay focused on what matters: a great experience for your guests. Thanks to a mature return system, our return rate sits at 99.2%. No deposit chaos, no surprises. Reuse shouldn't mean more work. It should simply be a better way of running an event. Planning a festival, fan zone, town fair, or open-air concert this summer? We'll help you set it up, cup by cup. Learn more 👉 https://lnkd.in/eameYzaf

The best event infrastructure is invisible. Nobody attends a festival thinking about power distribution, waste logistics, or how reusable cups move through the venue. What people remember is the experience: shorter queues, cleaner spaces, fast service, and an event that simply runs well. Those outcomes don't happen by chance. They're the result of hundreds of operational decisions made long before the first guest arrives. As summer event season gets underway across Europe and North America, it's a good reminder that great events aren't just built on great programming. They're built on systems that quietly do their job in the background, allowing organizers to focus on the experience instead of the operations. That's how we think about reuse, too. The goal isn't to give organizers another project to manage. It's to make reusable packaging feel like a seamless part of the event. If you're planning a festival, fan zone, city celebration, or sporting event this summer, we'd be happy to help you think through the operational side of reuse. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/evHbKEwJ
