Berlin is strengthening its global network. 🌍 With the launch of the Berlin Business Representatives Network (BBRN), the State of Berlin is expanding its international presence. Initiated by the Berlin Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises (Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe), the Honorary Business Representatives of Berlin will serve as ambassadors for Berlin as a leading business and innovation hub in key international markets. At the heart of the initiative is mutual exchange – connecting opportunities, fostering collaboration and creating lasting value for Berlin and its partner regions. Coming from business, academia, culture and civil society, all representatives share a strong connection to Berlin and a common goal: to support Berlin-based companies in their international activities, strengthen global networks, attract businesses from their respective markets to Berlin and further raise the city's international profile. A major investment in Berlin's space technology ecosystem: EQT Group has announced the acquisition of Exolaunch, a Berlin-founded company that has become a global leader in satellite launch and deployment services. Founded as a spin-off from the Technical University of Berlin in 2013, Exolaunch has grown from a local deep-tech venture into an international space company with operations across Europe, North America, and Asia. To date, the company has supported the deployment of more than 790 satellites for over 200 commercial and government customers worldwide. The acquisition marks EQT's first private equity investment in the space sector and highlights growing investor confidence in Berlin's deep-tech ecosystem. From aerospace and AI to climate tech and advanced manufacturing, Berlin continues to produce globally relevant companies that attract international capital and scale from the city to the world.
