💡 One of the most frequent complaints healthcare professionals hear from patients wearing compression is: “My stocking slides down and bunches up.” Sliding, pinching, or rolling top bands can significantly impact patient comfort and ultimately adherence. JOBST® SoftFit™ patented technology was designed to address exactly this challenge. A silicone yarn in the top band provides a gentle yet secure hold, helping keep the garment in place throughout the day without constricting. By applying less pressure than traditional top bands, JOBST SoftFit can enhance comfort, stability, and ultimately adherence. Available in knee‑high styles and arm sleeves for lymphedema, lipedema, and venous conditions. 👉 Help your patients experience compression therapy that truly stays in place https://lnkd.in/de3Bhw6q *Münter C. Living with lipedema can be emotionally challenging for your patients, affecting how they see themselves and how they manage their symptoms. Social media often reinforces the narrow beauty ideal of a slim body with thin legs, which can increase shame and isolation. As a professional working with compression therapy, you can make a real difference by acknowledging these psychological burdens, addressing weight stigma, creating a safe space, and providing the right care. 👉 Learn more about lipedema https://lnkd.in/dcig35uA

Hello! My heart is full after an unforgettable week at Camp Watch Me 2026. It was a true privilege to volunteer as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) and JOBST Compression Medical Advisor alongside some of the most compassionate, dedicated lymphedema therapists and healthcare professionals I’ve ever met. Their generosity, expertise, and unwavering commitment to these children and their families were truly inspiring. A heartfelt thank you to Brylan’s Feat, the nonprofit behind Camp Watch Me, for creating a place where children living with primary lymphedema feel supported, empowered, and understood. Camp is so much more than learning self-bandaging, self-MLD, and compression therapy…it’s a place where kids build confidence, make friends, laugh endlessly, float down rivers, conquer ropes courses, perform in talent shows, and simply enjoy being kids. One of the most meaningful parts of the week was watching campers connect with adults …aka “PALS” who are thriving with the same diagnosis. These role models showed the campers that lymphedema doesn’t define their future…it simply becomes one part of a life filled with purpose and possibility. I’m also incredibly grateful to JOBST, an Essity company, for supporting my participation and for its ongoing commitment to education, innovation, and improving patients’ lives through compression therapy. It’s an honor to represent a company that shares these values. To every camper, family, therapist, volunteer, and supporter, thank you! You reminded me that when compassion, education, and community come together, lives are changed. Already looking forward to Camp Watch Me 2027. 💚 #CampWatchMe #BrylansFeat #JOBSTUSA #Essity #PrimaryLymphedema #LymphedemaAwareness #Volunteer #Community #Gratitude

It’s a myth that lipedema causes easy bruising. Some lipedema patients report easy bruising, but current evidence does not show that lipedema causes easy or frequent bruising. Importantly, such bruises do not distinguish lipedema from other conditions and are not reliable as a diagnostic criterion. When a patient presents with frequent, spontaneous bruising, these should be explored first, rather than assuming lipedema is the cause. Knowing the facts empowers you to support your patients with confidence and the right care. 💡Moisture buildup is one of the most common comfort complaints in compression therapy and a key barrier to adherence. When garments feel sweaty or damp, patients are less likely to wear them consistently, negatively impacting therapeutic outcomes. JOBST® Confidence was designed to address this challenge. Its advanced moisture management technology, featuring a double-layer construction, wicks moisture away from the skin, helping patients feel drier and more comfortable throughout the day. A clinical study confirmed improved patient satisfaction.* 👉 Learn more about how JOBST Confidence can support your patients https://lnkd.in/eNJv83YN *Hirsch T et al. It’s a myth that there is edema in lipedema. For many years, lipedema was described as a condition involving fluid build‑up or swelling in the legs. Today, experts agree that lipedema is not caused by venous or lymphatic dysfunction, as clinical exams have shown no relevant fluid retention in the legs of lipedema patients. Instead, pain is the primary symptom, not swelling or water retention. Understanding this distinction helps you to give the right guidance to patients so they can avoid unnecessary treatments. 👉 Learn more about lipedema https://lnkd.in/en-8Sxyg International Lipoedema Association website.n.d.; accessed on March 18, 2026

Patient adherence to compression therapy remains one of the biggest challenges for healthcare professionals. 🔍Understanding why patients struggle to wear compression consistently is the first step toward improving outcomes. The most commonly reported pain points when wearing compression garments include:* • The garment slides down, pinches, or digs into the skin • The garment makes them feel sweaty • The garment limits mobility or constricts • The garment causes unpleasant odor Choosing a garment design that prioritizes comfort can significantly improve satisfaction and ultimately adherence. 👉Follow along to learn how JOBST solutions help address each of these challenges. *ReD Associates market research, September 2024.
