They wrinkle, stretch, drape and shift with every interaction, making reliable gripping, separation and positioning a complex engineering task. As a result, many handling processes in textile manufacturing are still rely on manual work. This is exactly where Robotextile is pushing the industry forward. The company has developed an innovative air-flow gripper that automatically separates and handles individual fabric layers. Using precisely controlled airflow, the system reliably singulates textiles such as woven, knitted and nonwoven fabrics. Combined with a patented roller mechanism, the solution enables stable, repeatable handling of flexible materials while reducing manual intervention and increasing process efficiency.
