  • What does “Wound Balance” really mean in practice? In this podcast episode of Wound Care Insights, Prof. Karen Ousey is joined by US-based wound care experts Dr. Laura Swoboda, Dr. Alton Johnson and Dr. Trent Brookshier to explore what a holistic approach to wound care can look like in everyday practice. From managing the wound microenvironment to addressing comorbidities, social determinants of health and system-level barriers, the discussion highlights how healing goes far beyond the dressing. One key takeaway: early recognition and practical frameworks such as BIOMES can support earlier referral and more coordinated care. A valuable discussion for healthcare professionals working across the wound care pathway. 🎧 Listen now: https://lnkd.in/esBfukuM #WoundCare #PatientCentredCare #ClinicalPractice #WoundsInternational

  • Welcome to HARTMANN! 😊 During our Welcome Day, our future apprentices and dual students had the opportunity to get a first glimpse of working life at HARTMANN, gain valuable insights, and start getting to know each other before their official start date. One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to connect with our current apprentices and dual students. They shared their experiences, answered questions, and helped create the first connections within the group. A great first step on their journey towards starting their apprenticeship or dual study program with us! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/dmKtuzm7

  • New podcast episode: Wound care is no longer just about the wound itself In this “Beyond the Surface” podcast, Prof. Karen Ousey and Prof. Harikrishna KR Nair explore Wound Balance, a holistic approach that brings together the patient, the wound, and the wider care environment. From multidisciplinary collaboration to health-related quality of life, the conversation highlights why we must move beyond a “treat and discharge” mindset. True healing means understanding the person behind the wound. This episode supports nurses and healthcare professionals with practical perspectives on how to look beyond the wound and approach care more holistically. 🎧 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/eBJHXArv   The podcast “Beyond the Surface” is created in collaboration with Wounds International and LINK powered by HARTMANN. #WoundCare #WoundBalance #WoundManagement #HARTMANN #WoundsInternational

  • 👕🦠 Workwear is more than a dress code Medical workwear can contribute to the spread of pathogens – making it an often underestimated risk factor for patient safety. Scientific studies show that pockets and long sleeves in particular are frequently contaminated with pathogenic germs. In addition to proper hand hygiene, measures such as “bare below the elbow” and consistent textile hygiene can help break chains of infection. 📊 Our poster summarizes the key findings in a clear and concise way. 👉 Learn more and rethink patient safety. 🔗 Poster & background information: https://lnkd.in/gVCDXs7T
