We've added new dashboards to the SERTICA Dashboard Catalog 📊 Dashboards give your crew a shared, structured overview of what's happening onboard. The catalog covers: ▪️How to monitor your events to avoid accidents. ▪️How to stay in control of certificate planning. ▪️How to track the defect history of your fleet. ▪️Which dashboards can support crew onboard the vessels. ▪️What to remember before implementing dashboards. And much more. Download the updated catalog here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gfg8Ebdy Use it as inspiration for your own setup, whether you're just getting started or looking to improve what you already have. Tip: The brilliant thing about dashboards is that you can access all the data behind by clicking on the numbers.

Managing procurement across a large fleet is complex. But at DFDS, much of the daily PO work no longer has to be handled manually. In one year, DFDS automated 72% of their purchase order positions with SERTICA by reviewing their procurement flow and defining standard supplier items. The result: ▪️ PO process reduced from 5 steps to 3 ▪️ 72% of PO positions automated in 12 months ▪️ 20% time saved per PO The key was standardization. By defining standard supplier items, DFDS reduced repetitive manual work and made the PO process faster and more consistent. Thereby freeing the procurement team to focus on exceptions, supplier dialogue, and higher-priority tasks. As Duygu S. from DFDS explains: “Standardizing and automating POs means fewer manual steps and fewer delays. It’s a more efficient way to manage daily procurement.”

“Where is that procedure again?” Probably not what anyone wants to hear mid-operation. You know the answer exists somewhere in a folder – you just have to find it first. With the new SERTICA AI Assistant, you no longer have to search through folders and documents to find what you need. Simply ask the AI Assistant directly in the SERTICA Management System, and it answers using only the procedures and documents stored there. Every answer comes with references to the source. You can also ask it to elaborate or build a checklist to carry out the procedure. See how it works 👇

From next week, the 1st of July, UK ETS applies to the maritime sector. Ship operators will be required to monitor and report emissions occurring in UK ports and on domestic UK voyages. Here is a quick overview of what that means in practice. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱? Cargo and passenger vessels of 5,000 GT and above operating domestic UK voyages. That includes voyages between UK ports, voyages that start and end at the same port, and time spent at berth or at anchor at UK ports. Emissions from ports of call on international routes are also captured – so if your vessel calls at a UK port, that port stay is within scope. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀? ▪️ Submit an Emissions Monitoring Plan (EMP) at company level – one plan per operator, covering all vessels ▪️ Monitor and report CO₂, CH₄ and N₂O on a tank-to-wake basis ▪️ Have your Annual Emissions Report verified by a UKAS-accredited verifier ▪️ Surrender allowances by 30 April each year. For 2026 (July – December), the deadline is 30 April 2028 You must submit your Annual Emissions Report by 31 March each year. A reporting year runs from 1 January to 31 December, but in 2026 only the period from 1 July to 31 December is subject to reporting. SERTICA supports fleet-wide emissions monitoring and reporting, helping operators manage compliance data in one place.

Procurement should be simple for the people placing the orders. That is the idea behind DFDS’ work with Punch-Out integrations in SERTICA. Today, DFDS has Punch-Out integrations live with three suppliers: Lemvigh-Müller, ccbsafety and Wärtsilä. The plan is to expand this feature to even more suppliers. Despite being at an early stage, the initiative has already delivered encouraging results, including 643 Punch-Out orders and positive crew feedback, which is critical for ensuring adoption and continuous improvement. For end users on vessels, the value is clear as they can: ▪️ Access supplier catalogues directly ▪️ Select the items with accurate and up-to-date information ▪️ Collaborate on requisitions ▪️ place requests without re-entering data For procurement teams, this means fewer errors, less repetitive work and a more streamlined requisitioning process. As Duygu S. from DFDS explains: “Punch-Out makes ordering easier for the crew. They get access to detailed, up-to-date product information, avoid manual data entry, and can create requisitions faster and more collaboratively.

From 30 June 2026, vessels subject to FuelEU Maritime must carry a valid FuelEU Document of Compliance (DoC) when calling at EEA ports. The DoC confirms that the vessel has met its FuelEU obligations, or that any compliance deficit or penalty has been settled. It is valid until 30 June of the following year and must be available on board when entering an EEA port. During Port State Control inspections, authorities may check that the DoC is valid and carried on board. Missing or invalid documentation can lead to sanctions, and failure to present a valid DoC for two consecutive reporting periods may result in expulsion from EU and EEA ports. This is why compliance does not end with reporting. Monitoring FuelEU performance throughout the year helps reduce the risk of ending the period with a compliance deficit that is difficult to settle.

Tightening environmental regulations and growing pressure to demonstrate fleet-wide carbon emission reductions while staying competitive present a complex challenge for shipping companies today. To stay competitive, compliant, and efficient amid these demands, it is vital to understand a ship’s performance and predict its behavior in various situations. This is where fleet performance management and digitalization play a key role. In our new article, Michela Schenone dives into how digital tools enable operators to collect, manage, and use high-quality data to monitor vessel performance in real-time. With automatic data acquisition and performance alerts, both onboard and onshore operators can better predict vessel behavior, respond to inefficiencies before they escalate, and ensure compliance across the fleet.
