The AI era runs on gigawatts. That's the backdrop for the news we announced earlier this week: MN8 Energy and Greenbacker entered into an agreement that would create a top-three power platform in the U.S. — roughly 6 GW across 33 states, spanning solar, storage, and wind, already powering some of the most important companies in the world. Why now, and why together? Our CEO Jon Yoder lays out the rationale in the video below — a look at the moment behind the deal, and what it unlocks for the customers building multi-decade energy strategies who need power delivered on real timelines. A proud week for both teams. This is MN8 — at scale, at our best — rising to power what's next. #MN8PowersWhatsNext #AI #DataCenters #EnergyInfrastructure #MN8

Today, we take a significant step with a definitive agreement to acquire Greenbacker. The combination will create a national renewable energy platform with a cumulative generating capacity of over 6 GW across 33 states. At a time when power demand is accelerating across the country, investments in new grid capacity are vital in building the scale to meet that demand. We believe this transaction broadens our solutions across utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, and EV charging capabilities while strengthening our position as a preferred energy partner to the world’s leading enterprises. We’re proud to scale our operations to better serve our customers driving the modern economy. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gWEEjmXk

#AutonomousVehicles drive themselves, but they still need chargers that works, power that's reliable, sites designed for round-the-clock operations, and software that catches points of failure before they become missed dispatches. Alan Dowdell, our Head of Distributed Energy Solutions, and Shana Patadia, Synop's Head of Business Development, break down how the right partners can make the path to scale more straightforward for EV fleets.
Autonomous vehicles have come a long way, but the road to continued adoption and scale for EV fleets isn't as straightforward as it seems. In this article, Shana Patadia and I break down the key factors that are inhibiting scale now and what infrastructure is needed to drive the next phase of growth. #autonomousvehicles #evinfrastructure #mn8energy #synop

Alberto Fernandez, our Head of Project Execution, joined fellow experts on stage at Spain-US Chamber of Commerce's Energy Forum to discuss energy resilience and strategy in the modern age. The big takeaway: capacity is a challenge, but speed is the real constraint. Permitting, interconnection, transmission — all of it takes time. As electricity demand grows, deployment has to keep pace. What does it take to win? Building strong ecosystems of customers, suppliers, financiers, and communities. Delivering reliable energy through uncertainty. Thank you to Spain-US Chamber of Commerce for a great event!

Fleet operators need charging infrastructure at scale. But building it yourself? Capital-intensive. Operationally complex. It pulls focus from what actually matters: running the fleet. Charging Infrastructure as a Service changes that. MN8 handles site selection, permitting, power upgrades, maintenance, and operations so your team stays on fleet development. Predictable costs. Reliable uptime. Infrastructure that works. Learn how Charging Infrastructure as a Service could work for your fleet👉 https://lnkd.in/enPrqv2m

We brought 260 MW of new, operating solar online across two grids to power our long-term PPAs with Microsoft. Long Point Solar, our 120 MW site in Brazoria County, Texas, and American Beech, our 140 MW site in Halifax County, North Carolina, are commercially operational today, delivering energy to both the ERCOT and PJM grids. These projects do more than deliver megawatts to support Microsoft's energy goals. Together, the projects: 👷Created 600+ construction jobs and nearly two dozen permanent positions 💸 Will generate millions in local tax revenue over their operational lifetimes We’re excited to power Microsoft as they build the next generation of digital infrastructure and to continue investing in the communities where we operate. A solar farm in Illinois can power a cleaner future for Massachusetts. That's the beauty of a VPPA. We welcomed Meghan Shaw from City of Cambridge to Prairie Solar, our 135 MWac, 800-acre, 315,000 panel site in Illinois more than 1,000 miles away from Cambridge, MA, but still very much a part of the city's energy plan. Prairie Solar sits on the MISO grid, one of the most carbon-intensive in the country, where only 32% of energy comes from low-carbon sources. Every megawatt generated there delivers roughly 2.6x the emissions reductions it would in Massachusetts. This VPPA is the largest ever undertaken by a city and is an excellent representation of how large-scale solar can provide long-term benefits to host communities while helping municipalities across the country reach their goals.
