Erislandy Mozo has joined SRS as an R&D Engineer, based in Barcelona. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Engineering and brings deep expertise in wireless communications, signal processing, and software-defined radio. His background spans 5G and NTN, with hands-on delivery in C++, MATLAB, and on software-defined radio platforms. He has contributed to research and innovation projects across the development and validation of wireless communication systems. At SRS, Erislandy will be contributing to the OCUDU project from an R&D perspective, helping position it as a tool for early analysis of 6G and beyond. Good to have you with us, Erislandy.

The OCUDU project now offers full support for NTN Release 17, complete with automatic ephemeris generation for SIB19. Operators, integrators, and satellite providers can now build and test 5G NR-NTN deployments on OCUDU, across both transparent and regenerative payload architectures for LEO, MEO, and GEO! The SRS team spent three days together in Barcelona last week at our get-together. Two days of company meetings covering technical direction, project updates, and the roadmap for the coming months. Nothing beats having everyone in the same room. On Wednesday evening we visited the Fabra Observatory near Tibidabo for dinner on the terrace with the city laid out below us. The main telescope dates to 1904 and remains one of the largest and oldest still in scientific use in Europe. Getting to look through it at night was a highlight. Thursday took us to Can Recasens in the Sant Cugat area for an afternoon of olive oil tasting, wine pairing, and a fermentation workshop, rounded off with a lunch together. Three days of collaborative work, good food, and getting to know the people we build with every day.
