🛣️ 📢 On 26 June, Rwanda marked an important milestone with the launch of a climate-resilient road construction model, demonstrating how transport infrastructure can be designed to better withstand the impacts of climate change. The pilot, supported by NDF through a EUR 4.4 million investment and implemented by the Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA), has rehabilitated some of the country’s most vulnerable road sections while developing capacity, technical assistance and standards to guide future resilient infrastructure investments. By integrating climate resilience with nature-based solutions, this investment reflects NDF’s commitment to financing nature-positive initiatives that help communities adapt to climate change. As climate risks increase, partnerships like this are helping build safer, more reliable and resilient transport networks that keep communities connected. 🌱🤝 #ClimateAdaptation #ClimateResilience #ClimateFinance #Rwanda Siv Ahlberg
