Our Half-Year Financial Review 2026 has been published: Net sales and Comparable EBITA increased in the second quarter 🔹 Orders received totaled EUR 1.4 billion 🔹 Net sales grew 6% organically, and comparable EBITA increased 🔹 We completed the acquisition of Severn Group “The Severn acquisition is another step in the systematic development of Valmet’s portfolio, and it further strengthens the strategic role of the Process Performance Solutions business as an important driver of the Group’s growth and profitability. Severn increases the segment’s annualized net sales to approximately EUR 1.7 billion,” says Thomas Hinnerskov, President and CEO, Valmet. Today, Valmet also initiated a strategic review to evaluate a potential separation of its two segments: “The Board continuously evaluates how to create the greatest long-term value for Valmet’s shareholders. Today, Valmet consists of two strong businesses with distinct markets, growth opportunities and capital allocation needs. Through this review, we will assess whether they can create more value as independent companies than they can together. We will only proceed with a separation if we conclude after detailed analysis that separation is clearly in the best interests of our shareholders,” says Pekka Vauramo, Chair of the Board. Valmet and CMPC are moving forward with a regional services agreement focused on strengthening the reliability of CMPC’s lime kilns in Chile and Brazil. The collaboration includes specialized diagnostics, alignment and technical support, with the aim of supporting safer, more efficient and predictable operation of these critical assets within the causticizing process. This agreement reflects a shared view on the importance of proactive asset management, specialized technical support, and long-term collaboration. ⚡ ESE-Energia’s Pursiala CHP plant is undergoing a major automation modernization, replacing old system with Valmet DNAe. The first commissioning phase has been successfully completed, covering the electric boiler, district heating accumulator, steam boiler, and district heating network operations.
