3 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞: 𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 🍅 Together with Grodan, Ridder, Wireless Value, Normec Groen Agro Control and Axia Vegetable Seeds, we explored what happens when lighting, climate, irrigation and nutrition are fully aligned as one system. What stood out from the trial: • Over 50% reduction in heat input compared to common practice 🔥 • Around 10% higher yield when adding interlighting 💡 • Improved fruit quality with fewer blotchy fruits 🍅 • More stable crops through balanced climate and irrigation 🌱 • Data driven growing enabling more precise decisions 📊 The results show that low energy growing is no longer a future concept. It is already a practical strategy for growers looking to optimise performance while reducing energy use. As horticulture continues to evolve towards more controlled systems and data driven cultivation, this kind of integrated approach is becoming increasingly relevant across modern greenhouses. Curious what this could mean in practice for your crop? 👉 Download the whitepaper to explore the full results and insights https://lnkd.in/eknFqkiy #UnlockLightingIntelligence #PhilipsHorticulture #PhilipsHortiLED #LED #Horticulture #HorticultureInnovation

Together with Duijvestijn Tomaten , Wageningen University & Research, and AgriData Innovations, we are working on TOM4.0. TOM4.0 introduces a new way of growing tomatoes using moving gutter systems, where real-time insight into crop development is essential. By combining computer vision, AI, and deep greenhouse expertise, AgriData Innovations develops technology that continuously measures fruit size and leaf area. This live data feeds directly into Ridder’s growth forecasting models, helping growers make better-informed, proactive decisions based on objective plant data. This collaboration shows how we move forward together. Not through technology alone, but by connecting knowledge, partners, and practical experience to enable more data-driven tomato cultivation. Great to work with these partners as we shape sustainable growth in greenhouse horticulture.
