Digital Product Passports (DPPs) represent a key driver for increasing the effective reuse of secondary raw materials (SRMs), by making reliable product-level information accessible and actionable. ROSI@RHE – a long-term industrial project in Baden-Württemberg ROSI is pleased to advance the preparation of its future industrial development in Baden-Württemberg. Following constructive exchanges with Baden-Württemberg and regional stakeholders, ROSI is entering into the engineering phase of a long-term industrial project in Rheinfelden. The project is planned on the premises of the Evonik site in Rheinfelden and aims to develop a first-of-its-kind integrated plant for photovoltaic module recycling, with a particular focus on high-quality silicon. For ROSI, this project represents an important step towards building a truly circular photovoltaic value chain in Europe. Circularity cannot be limited to waste treatment or material recovery alone. It can only scale if recycled materials reach the level of quality required by industries and can be reintegrated into demanding applications. This is particularly important for silicon, one of the strategic materials for many industries, including photovoltaics. By enabling the reuse of high-quality recycled silicon, ROSI@RHE aims to contribute to industrial resilience, resource efficiency and the reduction of the carbon footprint of the European silicon value chain. Such resilience requires collaboration across Europe, bringing together industrial sites, technology providers, material users, institutional partners and investors around a shared objective: rebuilding strategic value chains for Europe. ROSI Alpes et Soren : un cadeau de taille pour la Journée mondiale du recyclage 🌍 En ce 18 mars, Journée mondiale du recyclage, nous avons une excellente nouvelle à partager. ROSI Alpes est fière d’annoncer sa sélection officielle par l’éco-organisme Soren pour le traitement des panneaux photovoltaïques en fin de vie. Ce nouveau contrat vient prolonger plusieurs années de collaboration réussie avec notre éco-organisme français. Ce choix s’inscrit pleinement dans la dynamique impulsée par Soren : faire de la France un territoire pionnier en promouvant activement le recyclage à haute valeur ajoutée. Grâce à cette vision, une industrie d’excellence se structure localement, transformant la gestion des déchets en un levier de souveraineté industrielle pour l’Europe. La technologie unique de ROSI Alpes permet de récupérer l’intégralité des matériaux, notamment le silicium et l’argent. Ces ressources critiques, une fois extraites sont destinées à alimenter des usages industriels de pointe en Europe, garantissant une réinjection optimale dans notre économie continentale. En cette journée dédiée à l’économie circulaire, ce partenariat concrétise l’ambition de faire des panneaux usagés la ressource stratégique de demain. Nous sommes très heureux d’annoncer que notre projet ORMAT est officiellement retenu et soutenu par l’ADEME, dans le cadre de la stratégie nationale sur les métaux critiques. Ce financement va permettre à ROSI de multiplier la capacité de recyclage de son site de Saint-Honoré (Isère), avec un objectif clair : ➡️ renforcer la souveraineté européenne sur des matériaux stratégiques, en particulier le silicium de haute pureté, au cœur de la transition énergétique. Grâce à cette montée en capacité, ROSI se positionne comme un acteur clé pour réduire la dépendance aux importations et préparer une véritable boucle fermée des matières recyclées. Un immense merci à l’ADEME pour leur confiance, ainsi qu’à toutes les équipes ROSI qui œuvrent chaque jour pour transformer les déchets photovoltaïques en ressources critiques circulaires. 💚 Ici, l’État investit pour la transition écologique et la souveraineté des métaux critiques — et nous sommes fiers d’y contribuer pleinement.

Ce matin, la matinale de France Inter présentait ROSI et la filière du recyclage en des panneaux photovoltaïques en France coordonnée par Soren 🔬 Les technologies développées par ROSI sont les première dans le monde à récupérer le silicium et l’argent des cellules photovoltaïques. 🌏 Cela répond à un enjeu stratégique de sécurisation de nos approvisionnement en métaux pour les décennies à venir. 🏭 La filière fait face à un enjeu de passage à l’échelle pour répondre à la demande exponentielle de traitement des panneaux photovoltaïques sur les 10 ans qui viennent. ROSI est bien déterminée à relever le défi en augmentant la capacité de son site français et en développant de nouvelles usines en Europe ! This initiative will showcase the large-scale deployment of our French-developed technology for high-value recycling of photovoltaic modules. The project aims to reintroduce recovered materials—such as ultra-pure silicon, silver, and high-quality glass—into strategic European value chains. Through ROSI Energy Iberia in Spain, INSPIRE-PV will help significantly reduce the CO₂ footprint and resource dependency in Europen on critical raw materials essential for the energy transition. We are committed to providing cost-effective and industrially viable circular solutions for the solar sectors and beyond. Hier soir, ROSI participait à un reportage dans le journal de 20h de TF1. 📺 RDV à 26:40 dans le replay. Thématique : comment extraire des panneaux photovoltaïques arrivant en fin les matériaux recyclés nécessaires à la transition énergétique ? ☀️ ROSI est la première entreprise à recycler l’ensemble des matériaux de haute valeur présent dans un panneau photovoltaïque. Au-delà du verre, de l’aluminium, du cuivre et de l’argent, nous recyclons le silicium de haute pureté qui transforme la lumière en électricité. 💡Avec ses procédé innovants, ROSI a réalisé une première mondiale : récupérer le silicium de haute pureté et le réintroduire dans les industries utilisant ce matériau. De nouveaux produits de haute performance sont ainsi créés : fibre optique, semi-conducteurs, etc. 🇪🇺 Malheureusement, nous ne maîtrisons plus en Europe la totalité des étapes de productions des panneaux photovoltaïques. On espère que ce sera à nouveau le cas à l’avenir grâce à des acteurs comme VOLTEC SOLAR, 3SUN, CARBON, Holosolis et d’autres. À ce moment-là, le silicium recyclé par ROSI permettra de produire de nouveau panneaux photovoltaïques. 🇫🇷 Rassurons-nous : aujourd’hui, la France est en pointe sur le recyclage des panneaux photovoltaïques. L’éco-organisme Soren enregistre un taux de collecte des panneaux usagers records, et nous disposons des entreprises de recyclage leaders dans leur domaine.
