The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between depression, social support and resilience among university students in Haryana during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 100 university students living in Haryana participated in this web-based survey. A standardized e-questionnaire was generated using the Google Form, and a link was shared through social media-WhatsApp and Facebook etc. The results show that more social support is associated with less depressive symptoms and more resilience ability in students.
Across the globe the nations are trying to explore and identify the strategies which would help i... more Across the globe the nations are trying to explore and identify the strategies which would help in enhancing the positive affect leading to ultimate happiness in each and every stratum of the society specifically among adolescents. Positive Psychological Interventions (PPIs) such as mindfulness, savoring, gratitude, kindness, empathy, meaning, flow exercises etc. are being applied to generate positive feelings and to attain the goal of sustainable happiness and well-being. Savoring is believed to be one such strategy in positive psychology which has shown promising effects in enhancing happiness, positive affect and reducing negative affect. The present study comprising of 300 (N=300) adolescents from the state of Haryana (India) made an attempt to explore relationship between savoring, happiness, positive affect and negative affect. Savoring Beliefs Inventory by Bryant (2003), Oxford Happiness Questionnaire by Hills & Argyle (2002) and Positive and Negative Affect Schedule by Watson et al. (1988) were applied to measure the variables. Savoring emerged as a significant correlate and predictor of happiness and positive affect among adolescents.

A positive psychology intervention 'Savoring' has shown efficacy in enhancing the resilience level, gratitude and overall well-being levels among adults and older adults. An investigation of the relationship between savoring beliefs and psychological well-being amongst adolescents became pertinent to determine whether the two had the same level of affect and effect in the adolescent population. The present research assessed savoring beliefs and psychological well-being in 300 adolescents in the Haryana state of India. The findings established that there exists a significantly positive correlation between savoring and psychological well-being.

Besides these changes, adolescents experience an increase in pressure from all spheres of life, such as unemployment, high-level competition, adjustments in families, etc. They experience negative feelings and find it difficult to adjust to life. These emotional changes may result in increased conflict and challenges among adolescents. They are more sensitive to their emotions and show strong feelings and intense emotions at this time. The main objective of this present review is to explore the impact of yoga on managing negative emotions among adolescents. The research available in the past describes yoga as a kind of exercise which is related to the mind and body. It is also shown thatone's psychological experience is influenced by one's physiological state, attitudes, and thoughts. Research has documented that the main objective of yoga is to control the process of thoughts and emotions, and it thus enables the individual to encounter pleasurable and painful situations with calm.
