We used 07 books, 04 of grade 8 and 04 of the 2nd year. Contents anatomy was analyzed from reading reviews comparing the anatomical nomenclature adopted in the current anatomical terminology. The books showed differences between the various body systems, such as the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, urinary system, male genital system and digestive system. The errors were found in the images and also in part intended to content writing with incorrect terms and / or overpast.

This is accomplished through student participation in educational activities as a strategy for motivating learning. The use of technical and anatomical specimens to the appropriate motivational strategy for the construction of knowledge. There are several conservation techniques such asanatomical parts glicerinizacao, maceration, diaphanization, plastination, angiotecnica, neurotecnica and modeling techniques. The morphometric analysis has proved possible to be used, and can be a valid help to obtain certain parameters that may contribute to scientific research in several areas. For this, a good understanding of evaluation techniques and principles that can be applied to obtain reliable and valid results is needed. To measure the proximal femoral epiphysis by manual morphometry, with the aid of the caliper, and digital morphometry, with the aid of software and compare them. Twenty nine femurs were used to measure the following parameters: diameter of the femoral head in the cranio caudal axis (DFH-CC) and sagittal axis (DFH-S), diameter of the femoral neck cranio caudal axis (DFN-CC) and sagittal axis (DFN-S), length of the femoral neck (LFN) and length of the intertrochanteric line (LIL). After the measurements, the mean values were compared between the two morphometric techniques. The manual morphometry obtained the following average values:

The objective of this study was to evaluate the action of the treatment with fluoxetine during the critical period of the animal´s life on development of the soleus and lateral gastrocnemius muscles, under the aspects of weight, the number of nuclei of myocyte cells and cross-sectional area of muscle fibers. Twenty four (30 and 90-day-old) male Wistar rats were used. They were treated with saline solution (NaCl 0.9%; 1 ml/100 g of body weight) or fluoxetine (10 mg; 1 ml/100g of body weight). The animals were divided in Saline Group (GS-30 and GS-90) and Fluoxetine Group (GF-30 and GF-90). The fluoxetine group showed a reduction on weight (g) of soleus (p=0.046) and lateral gastrocnemius (p=0.02) muscles in rats with 90 days. A lesser number of myonuclei was observed in fluoxetine group than saline group of 30 days (soleus, p<0.001; lateral gastrocnemius, p≤0.007) and 90 days (soleus, p=0.002; lateral gastrocnemius, p≤0.038). The cross section area of fluoxetine groups is also smaller than the saline groups with 30 days (soleus, p=0.03; lateral gastrocnemius, p=0.041) and 90 days (soleus, p=0.042; lateral gastrocnemius, p=0.012). The treatment of fluoxetine during the critical period of development of the nervous system of rats, causes early changes in the structure of muscle fibers that seem to be related to reducing the weight of the soleus and gastrocnemius muscles only in late stage of the animal's life. Thus, the dosage used ISRS, suggests an inhibitory effect of 5-HT in relation to variables on the development of the skeletal muscle tissue of rats.

This study investigated the effect of olanzapine on mice's bone tissue. Fifteen (15) male adult mice were divided into three groups: Control (n = 5) without experimental dose, Group 1 (n = 5) with a dose of 15mg/Kg olanzapine and Group 2 (n = 5) with 20mg/kg of olanzapine. Group 2 had reduced body weight from the seventh day of treatment. Both Group 1 (p = 0.013) and group 2 (p <0.0001) showed a reduction in the tibia weight. The length and thickness of proximal and distal epiphyses showed no statistical differences. The thickness of diaphysis was lower in group 2 (p = 0.0025) when comparing to the control, and when comparing the experimental groups, group 2 also showed a reduction in thickness (p = 0.0259). The microscopic analysis showed no change in cortical thickness of diaphysis; however, the number of osteocy...

Objectives: This study aimed to correlate the maternal and fetal parameters that may influence the voluntary maternal pushes during the second stage of labor by using surface electromyography. Methods: The electromyographic activity of the rectus abdominis and external oblique muscles were measured during the second stage of labor in 24 Brazilian pregnant women. The diastasis of the rectus abdominis, the body mass index and the uterine fundal height were analyzed as maternal parameters and the fetal weight, cephalic circumference, APGAR scores and arterial pH and CO 2 were analyzed as fetal parameters. The oxytocin usage and the expulsive phase duration were considered. Results: A negative correlation between the rectus abdominis diastasis and the rectus abdomini muscle electromyographic parameters was found (r=-0.407 p=0.04). No statistically significant correlations were found among the rectus abdominis and external oblique muscles electromyography and the other maternal or fetal parameters, as well as among expulsive phase duration and the oxytocin usage. Conclusions: This study suggests that the rectus abdominis diastasis may be an influential parameter in generating voluntary pushes during the second stage of labor, however it cannot be considered the only necessary parameter for a successful labor.
