The Bicameral Mind
The concept of the bicameral mind — where ancient humans heard one part of their brain as an external "voice" guiding their actions — is the foundation of Taskade EVE.
Taskade EVE represents a modern bicameral partnership: not two hemispheres within one brain, but human consciousness working in symbiosis with AI awareness.

Working with Taskade EVE
Taskade EVE is designed to understand natural language, but knowing how it thinks and responds will help you get better results faster. This section covers the fundamentals of communicating with Taskade EVE and effectively managing its capabilities.
Open the Agent Panel
Taskade EVE is always present in the left sidebar in every app, flow, and project:
Click the 🤖 Chat in the top-left corner of the top navigation bar.
Type what you want to accomplish in plain English (scroll down to learn more).
​Press Enter to prompt the agent.
To close Taskade EVE, click the last button on right in the Taskade EVE panel to close the chat.
Master Taskade EVE Prompting
Taskade EVE interprets natural language, so you can describe what you want in your own words. The clearer you are, the better Taskade EVE performs.
Key principles:

​✅ Provide Context: Explain who will use it and why
​✅ Describe Outcomes: Say what should happen as a result
​✅ Iterate: Start simple and refine through follow-up prompts
Taskade EVE's Response Process
When you make a request, Taskade EVE:
Analyzes your instructions and context
​Plans the necessary steps
​Executes the actions (creating, modifying, or retrieving)
​Confirms what was done
​Asks for clarification if anything is unclear
💡 Note: For actions that affect important data or external systems, Taskade EVE will use the "human in the loop" mechanism and ask for approval.
Select AI Model
Taskade EVE supports multiple AI models, each with different strengths and capabilities. You can choose which model powers your interactions based on your needs.
In the Taskade EVE panel:
Open the Taskade EVE panel (see the previous section).
​Click 🤖 at the bottom of the Taskade EVE panel to browse available models.
​Select your preferred model.
