Constructing Leadership: From Plans to Profit
Meet Your Experts & Facilitators
Lou Goldhaber
Organizational Leadership & Team Management
Lou Goldhaber serves as Chief of Staff for The Enterprise, where he acts as an in-house adviser, connector, and strategic partner across the organization’s five companies. In this role, Lou helps ideate, develop, and execute key initiatives that strengthen internal operations, elevate customer service, and create greater alignment among teams.
A significant part of Lou’s work centers on team chemistry: helping people, departments, and company leaders work better together. He provides strategic oversight and support to stakeholders across the enterprise, developing processes, communication structures, and initiatives that improve collaboration, accountability, and the overall experience for both employees and customers. Lou is especially focused on identifying opportunities where improved systems, stronger relationships, and clearer execution can raise the standard not only within The Enterprise, but also across the real estate and construction industries.
Lou joined The Enterprise in 2013 as the company’s first Special Projects Leader, with responsibilities spanning owner’s representation, project management, and client service. In that role, he successfully oversaw the development of several major Detroit projects, including The Albert – Capitol Park, a 127-unit mixed-use historic redevelopment, and The Scott at Brush Park, a 350,000-square-foot, 199-unit ground-up development.
Today, Lou continues to bring a people-first approach to leadership, combining operational strategy with a deep commitment to service, culture, and execution. He also serves on multiple boards focused on real estate development in Detroit and the Jewish community.
Lou resides in Franklin with his wife, Amye, their son, Ray, and their daughter, Stevie Jane. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Lou remains a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Craig Walden
Financial Management
Craig Walden joined AUCH in 2012 and serves as the company’s CFO and Treasurer, a role he has held since 2017. He oversees the firm’s finance, accounting, treasury, and risk management functions, providing strategic financial and operational leadership that supports informed decision-making, strengthens financial controls, and helps align project execution with the company’s long-term business objectives. His practical approach to financial management focuses on delivering meaningful business insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining AUCH, Craig spent 11 years in public accounting, advancing to Audit Manager. During that time, he worked with a diverse client base across the construction, manufacturing, and nonprofit sectors, providing audit and advisory services to organizations of varying size and complexity. This experience provided a strong foundation in financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and business operations. Today, Craig combines his public accounting background with nearly two decades of experience in the construction industry to help organizations strengthen financial performance, manage risk, and make informed strategic decisions.
