We were delighted to welcome representatives from the European Space Agency - ESA (ESA) and ATG Europe to our headquarters this week for a team meeting on the LISA project! 🌌🚀 Building on our ongoing work for this landmark mission to detect gravitational waves, the meeting focused on the next phases of development. ATG is designing the satellite’s central tube using their patented grid-stiffened architecture, and ÉireComposites will be manufacturing and assembling the structure at our 60,000 sq. ft facility. We recently welcomed Team Manager Rian Gill and team members Barry Clavin & Yuvraj Singh Dheer of the squad to our Galway facility as they collected the moulds to power ahead with their high-performance build. As a team dedicated to advancing sustainable, lightweight composite technology, we are incredibly proud to support these next-generation innovators. PRESS RELEASE: 🚀 ÉireComposites Manufactures Advanced Composite Components for ESA's Altius Ozone Mission🌌   Huge milestone for Ireland’s space sector! ✨ We are incredibly proud to announce that ÉireComposites has officially manufactured advanced composite components for the European Space Agency - ESA’s upcoming Altius ozone-monitoring satellite mission! 🌍 ☘️Operating from our base in Galway, our team has produced three precision carbon fibre stray light baffles for the satellite’s high-performance optical instrument. These components are officially the largest functioning space hardware and the first external satellite components ever to be manufactured in Ireland for launch into space. Scheduled to launch in 2028, the Altius mission will play a crucial role in monitoring Earth’s ozone layer and tracking atmospheric greenhouse gases—essential data for long-term climate monitoring and weather forecasting.🎯 "The Altius satellite marks a major milestone for Irish participation in space exploration...
