Cindi Bonny’s son Kevin was born in Bessborough in 1993, when she was 16. She kept him, despite extreme pressure to give him up for adoption. A year later, her daughter Zoei was born prematurely in Bessborough. She lived for just two days. Zoei was the last baby to be registered as dying in the care of the institution in Cork.
