Sagnik Sen
I’m Sagnik Sen—an engineer by degree, a scientist by profession, and a researcher by passion. After completing my engineering education at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, I began my career in the corporate sector where I developed core competencies in system architecture, data management, and interdisciplinary problem-solving. Over time, my intellectual curiosity led me to pivot toward scientific inquiry, and I now serve as a scientist at the India Meteorological Department (IMD), contributing to national-scale data systems and environmental modeling.
Parallel to my professional role, I actively pursue research in quantum chemistry, computational physics, hybrid data structures, and AI-integrated algorithm design. My work bridges foundational science and applied computation—ranging from simulating atomic interactions using Hartree-Fock and DFT methods to crafting memory-optimized data structures for large-scale search, robotics, and real-time learning systems. I’ve also explored real-world applications across medical robotics, digital education infrastructure, and entrepreneurship dynamics in West Bengal.
I’m a strong proponent of open-access publishing and frequently share my research on platforms like Zenodo, where my papers have garnered hundreds of downloads and views. I'm proficient in LaTeX, TikZ, pgfplots, and Python, which I use for everything from scientific visualization to reproducible benchmarking pipelines.
Looking ahead, my mission is to contribute to India’s computational innovation landscape—at the intersection of AI, public research, and deep science—while enabling equitable, scalable applications in both academic and grassroots domains.
